HIST2111
Avoid if you want passing grade. Tests and quiz questions are not taught in class. It is like going to church on Sunday but everyday with this class.
Hist2111
Lets put it this way, this is a publicly funded college and as such is subject to the separation of church and state. Not for this guy though, which is odd because i thought it was a History class, not a Sunday sermon. Compares everyone to god, therefore you wont get an A, ever, because your not God.
HIST2111
Incredibly Smart. He really knows what he's talking about. It's really important to take good notes and know them. His only tests are all essays, no multiple choice. Part of your grade is coming to class, not being tardy, and participating and asking questions. He loves a good question. Act like you want to be there and he'll grade you easy.
HIST2112
This guy is not clear, is very disorganized and gives horrible tests! Do not take him if you want to a good grade!
HIST3170
I took Appalachian History the first time he ever taught it at North Georgia (as far as I know). He is very knowledgeable and passionate on the subject, and I found my thirst for knowledge of Appalachian History insatiable. The workload is what you would expect from upper level history, with essay tests and presentations. Great class!
Hist2111
I really liked this professor and enjoyed the class. I worked at it and made an A. All you have to do is pay attention, study, and THINK!
HIST2111
I took his class back in the spring. He provided a challenging course. I barely made it out with an A. He expects you to really know the material, not regurgitate it back out like in a multiple choice or short answer test. There were a few quizzes, but the course was mainly graded on the 2 essay exams and a paper.
HIST3170
Dr. Whittemore was very clear with what he wanted us to do, and he was fair with his grading. The reason the other people on here are griping is because the are unorganized, irresponsible freshman. This is college, kids, not the arcade. Either get used to Professors expecting you to work, or quit wasting your parents money, and drop out.
HIST2111
Do not take this class if you want a good grade!! I love history and have been a good student all my life, but this guys class is really hurting me. I will probably barely make it out of the class with a C, and I've never made a C in my life. Nobody has any idea what he talks about or what he wants on tests, papers, etc. Good luck to future stuents

This guy is tough I studied day and night and so far I received a high grade of a C. Good luck to his new victims next semester.
HIST2111
Does not give A's because they are only for extraordinary people. The highest you can make is a B pretty much, and that's only if you're really good. He doesn't test, he just makes you write long essays as midterm and final. He grades essays super strict. All over the place in lectures. Unorganized. Just avoid him if you want your GPA good still.
HIST2111
This guy teaches tough..He doesnt give A's because he believes "A's are for extraordinary people and there aren't that many ordinary people." After he said this in his class, half of them dropped. The best grade you can basically get in this class is a B..and that B wont be easy either, heck not even a C will be easy..Good luck if you got him.
HIST2111
this dude is tough. doesnt give a's because "an A is for an extraordinary person, and i dont believe there are many extraordinary people" you will work hard to get a B. he is all over the place in his lectures, better write every word he says. is nice enough to give a study guide, but very tough grader. teaches class like an upper level HIST course
