POL 110 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

The class is very enjoyable, but it is a lot of work for only a 100 level class. The syllabus is also quite confusing. Dr. Asumah is a good professor though. The portfolio is a lot of work.

Perpetuates the very racism that he seeks to remedy. Does not give enough time for assignments

Great Professor. Wouldn't recommend taking this as a GE because it's a lot of work, but all the assignments he gives helps boost your grade. He involves all of his students and likes to hear everyone's opinion. Also, he gives a few group assignments which aren't too bad. The tests are all short answer and essays which sucks, but you get used to it.

It is an introductory course and if you don't know how college works yet don't take it. I took it after transferring to Cortland and learned so much. Keep up with your work. We r still friends.. Awesome professor! Earned an A and still have my portfolio from his class!

A lot of readings and assignments. Tough grader but if he likes you, or he sees the effort you will not fall behind. He is very upfront about grades and wants people to do well and put a little effort in. Just come to class, do the assignments, and participate. You should be fine and come out with a well earned B atleast!

Dr. Asumah is one of the best professor's here, he is very passionate about what he is talking about. Go in and talk to him and he will like you as a person which usually reflects on your grade. Participation is key to this course, discussions are very engaging and happen every class. He has a African accent, but easy to understand. Readings weekly

Prof. Asumah is an amazing teacher & an outstanding advisor. The class is a lot of work but is very do-able if you attend class & simply DO the work (ask questions). Although he may not agree with your opinion you have to realize that's human nature (especially POL nature). Instead of taking it offensively continue your beliefs but keep an openmind

Dr. Asumah is easily one of the best professors on campus. Not only are his grading methods clear, but he uses different methods of evaluation to help you improve your grade (not just tests like some professors, but papers and presentation are also counted). He makes a lot of time for students, and is always helpful and friendly. Great teacher!

Dr. Asumah tries incredibly hard to make all of his students care about the coursework and tries even harder to get them involved. The work is not easy, to say the least, but it is college. He is a really friendly guy if you try to get to know him. If you show that you care, he will do all that he can to help you. Take his courses whenever you can.

Everyone who is complaining about this course is a joke. This is college people, you have to do something called work. I learned an immense amount of information from this course. Dr. Asumah is extremely talented and one of the best professors I have ever had- and I am NOT Political Science major.
