If you've no dignity, you'll enjoy him-he'll treat you like a kid. He made no effort in organizing lectures, and would write whatever he was thinking on the board. He gave Mathematica HW, which seemed like afterthought to meet reqs, and a lot of unsolicited advice + tangents. Doesn't like to give straight answers to simple questions. Bad teacher.

Professor is really concerned for his students, and is willing to set aside time to clarify in-class. Great professor for circuit analysis material. His tests are known to be hard (They are a bit), but just do the no-credit questions and review some problems before the final and you should be fine.

I had him for 70B,170A,170B and he was one of the best professors. He would teach you a lot and he would connect other classes material to the current class. He is so willing to help you if you ask him questions. I learned life lessons from him. He even teaches 150 material better than the current prof does. I'm going to miss him teaching.

Had him for 70B, 170A, and 170B. His quizzes and midterms are all fair game, but finals can be tricky. He is a great professor who will stay and answer questions until students are satisfied. Even though he is demanding, he actually cares about students. Take his class, you will learn a lot from him! He also rewards effort!

Professor Lee really wants everybody to really learn a lot in class and also wants everybody to do well. He has more office hours (3 hours) than other professors (1 or 2 hours). His tests seem hard at first, but they are actually not too hard if you actually do the homework w/o looking at the solutions ahead of time. At least he teaches.

He said the final that I just took today would be from the homework and boy were we in for a surprise! He expects way too much out of us and puts too much pressure. Makes people feel bad if they ask him questions despite saying he likes to help. After the final, I can say he's dishonest and hope I don't have him as a professor again!!

Fair professor who wants all of his students to get at least a B-. Possible if you put in effort and do your best on quizzes and exams. Offers a sample final that really helps out so study the heck out of it. Also loves mathematica so learn how to use it.

I had him for three EECS classes. He is very helpful if you approach him. Though he can be intimidating or may talk down to the class sometimes, you can tell he does it because he actually cares. He is also very fair. You just have to approach him if you have a problem understanding something.

He' s a fair professor. He gives out a practice midterm and final if the class asks for it. The exams do turn out to be quite similar. Basically like in every class if you can do the hw then you'll do fine. He's very helpful when you go to his office hours, he'll explain to you everything you don't get.

Very difficult to follow lectures. Blocked view of board while making notes. Used a textbook that seemed to take pleasure in making things more difficult to understand. He's a good prof for one-on-one, just don't ever take a lecture class with him.

Definitely the hardest class I've taken at UCI. Tends to go on tangents during lectures, and sometimes the material he covers isn't even related to test or homework. Although, he is very enthusiastic about the subject and seems to know it very well. It really helps to have a very good TA. Even though it was hard, I'd probably take him again.

This guy couldn't teach to save his life. I swear, if you can avoid taking EECS with Lee, do it at all costs. I hope he gets fired.

Good professor for this EECS course. Hard quizzes but will help you in the long run. Those of you who are CE/EEs should take him because it'll help in the the upper division courses like EECS 170B that involves analysis.

Pretty fair teacher, just watch out for the quizzes; they're worth as much as the as the midterms. If you keep up with the material each week, it's easy; otherwise you're screwed. Lectures aren't very clear and tests are very hard, but he DOES actually give some partial credit. At the end he massively curves, so most people are OK even w/poor scores

Easy teacher overall. Go to his office hours to clear up material covered in class. Get to know the guy, he'll boost your grade. Tough quizzes/exams but do-able. No partial credit so just get the answer right.
