Great professor. Doesn't crack jokes or play around in class like "cool" teachers do but he teaches you and that what you need out of a math class. Lets you make your own reference sheet for tests and he does no like trick questions. Very helpful and is always prepared to answer any questions. Definately suggested.

I had to retake this class because the professor last year had such an accent I could barely understand the class. This guy is CRYSTAL clear and makes the course so EASY to understand. I CANNOT believe it and I am terrible at Statistics. Take his class..

Take his class in the summer, it's a MUCH better experience. I took his class twice, & my grade improved a whole letter grade by taking it in the summer. He's much better in smaller classes vs. auditorium classes. In the summer the exams are written vs a scantron so it helps get extra points. GOOD TEACHER! You'll appreciate him & his notes later!!!

The expectations are crystal clear. There are 9 chapters of HW problems on syllabus. They are very similar to the tests. The lectures are dry, but very clear. He hints at anything that is tricky or often missed by students. Not a big time-commitment to ace this class.

Only four tests and a final make up your grade. Doesn't explain things well at all. Does curve grade at the end however. Allows formula sheet for each test

This professor is awesome. Clear and to the point teaching. He moves fast, but will stop to go over something over and over if necessary (so ask questions). Tells exactly what will be on exams. Exams straightforward and no tricks (make good formula sheets). Very helpful during office hours. An A is very possible with some effort.

for stats 1, Mrs. Schott, Dr. Schott's wife is the best teacher. then comes Dr. Schott then Uddin. if you cant take Mrs. and then take Dr Schott. he moves fast but its not impossible. do all of the homework and make sure you understand it. he does let you have a formula sheet which is the most underrated key to passing the class

Stat Theory I & II, 2 semester sequence. Each semester there are 4 tests, 25% each. Tests are difficult, and if you bomb one there's no coming back. 1st test of I is easier, gets more difficult from there. You have to study you're butt off for this class. Schott's a good teacher, but his tests are a challenge, even for the strong math students.

I would really recommend taking Schott for STAT 2023. This was my second time taking it, and the first time was absolutely HORRIBLE with Uddin. He's notes are simple and to the point. Pay attention to his notes for tests, and make good cheat sheets for the tests! (He allows one sheet of paper for every test and two for the final)

This professor explains the concepts somewhat, but he moves entirely too fast. You will still need to attend class, and you will also have to do every single homework problem. Your grade is made up of 4 tests and 1 final exam. Your tests will be no more than 16-20 questions (usually 16), so if you miss more than 5 and you fail. He offers no curve.
