ILL 233 Taken for Credit:Yes Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

One of the best teachers I have encountered with the online program. He engages the students regularly and with relevance. He wants us to succeed, and it comes across in the discussions and timely critiques. Grading is fair, and commentary is useful on assignments.

Nick Ross is one of the only teachers at AAU genuinely interested in educating his students. His focus is on building the skills necessary to make great art, including how to give and receive critique, how to use modern-era digital tools (a rarity at AAU), and how to do work in a variety of styles and fields popular in illustration today.

He knows computers in and out, great personality and actually cares for students. He graduated AAU so this guy will get you your moneys worth. Make sure you get him for digital media 2, lots of fun on assignments and giggles in class.

If you have a sense of humor and can tell when a joke is a joke, then you'll have no problem with this professor. He is very helpful and knows his subject matter well. There is a bit of an ego, but I've seen worse. Overall, his class was very enjoyable and informative.

Nick was a really fun instructor, his demos were clear and much more useful than the provided written materials and he was eager to come help students in person whenever he could. Just "use your people words" and "get off of Facebook."

He's the kind of teacher that gives fairly broad demo's and it's up to you to get him to come over and directly assist you. A pretty cool guy that is without a doubt the biggest hipster teacher i've ever had. If you see him in the halls you might mistake him for a grad student.
