One of the most knowledgeable professors in the discipline. He allows for 'real world' scenarios.

Had Dr. White for Intro to Public Service. It was fine. You have to do the readings in order to pass the quizzes, but a lot of the midterm and final were directly from quizzes. Does a great job surveying the different aspects of the major. Plus, he's a great guy - very busy and always traveling, but let us out early almost every class!

PUBSR0020 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

I had him for intro to Public Servicee. He is the worst professor I have had at Pitt. Working hard will not help you grade-wise, only luck. His tests are very hard, full of topics he did not cover, and full of questions that try to trick you.

PIA2000 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Took for Admin. of Public Affairs and it was the worst class I've ever had. Class was sub-grad level but his expectations were high. Graded based on criteria that wasn't stated and preferred subjective writing over professional polished pieces. Most of the books were terrible. The reading load was large. Allowed some students to monopolize time.
