i finally got a job and am using material i learned in class. it was not easy and the teacher did not baby us, but its the only useful class in the mph program. she is one of the few teachers who actually worked and does public health. she should teach the whole program. homework was long and dont expect extensions, but she cares that we lear

Very interesting class. One of the best. She used real world examples from her work at the CDC and she also made the assignments real world. Class was always started with current public health issues and outbreaks. Fun and applicable!

Great to do independent study with. Weekly meetings and goals are clear. She requires more work than other professors require, but I learned things that you can't get in classes regarding research and how to run a study. Most of her research is in Louisville and she is very engaged in the community. She really cares and you learn alot.

main problem was that the homework and tests were hard. if you leave homework to the last minute, you wont get it done and the teacher does not allow extensions. it is due in class. teacher knows alot about public health and has more experience working than most other teachers. just start your homework right away when you get it cause it take
