"Tests are tough" "Lectures are long" "Skip class? You won't pass."

First of all there is NO BOOK. You can't do read to follow along with his lectures. His lectures are long and he usually talks pretty quickly during them. The only text you will see in this class are powerpoints, which are also lengthy and in small font. You miss most of what he says by taking notes. DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR GPA.

"Lectures are long" "Tests? Not many" "Participation matters"

He teaches at Ball State University now. He is awful. Lectures are awful. He doesnt even know all the material for the course. Uses powerpoints religiously and expects you to write everything from the powerpoint down while hes talking about more information. He expects far too much out of students for a 200 level course. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES.

"Skip class? You won't pass." "Tough Grader" "Lectures are long"

He uses powerpoints with A LOT of wording. He refuses to give out any of them, so if you miss you're screwed for that days lesson. He also talks while showing the powerpoint so when you're writing, you're missing his talking (which is what he bases a lot of the tests over). Strict but nice, he also moved to Ball State University this year. No book.

Easily one of the worst profs I've had at BSU. He is extremely obscure in his lectures and the notes he's given to teach. We're too busy taking down notes, which are far too lengthy, we can't even pay attention to whatever it is he tries to piece together. You're on your own for the most part. Find some friends, because you'll need them.

"Skip class? You won't pass." "Lectures are long" "Tough Grader"

All the information we got was from power points. The font was usually to small to read. While attempting to get the information from the slide he continued to talk and we missed what he had to say about the first half of the slide. No book. This means you cannot double check anything he says. Final test is cumulative. Avoid this professor.

Dr. Dooley makes things harder than they need to be. Lectures are very boring. He rambles away while you have to copy the notes from the power points. His grading is unnecessarily harsh. Glad it's over

This class hsouldve been an esay A. But dooley likes to make assignemnts more compliocated than they need to be. The material wasnt hard he is just not an effective explainer. He does top hat grades which really boost you. and a few extra credit. Overall, not a bad class but more complicated than neccesary.

While this class is easy, he makes the material unnecessarily complicated. He consistently made promises that he couldn't keep (he said we could take the final early and then the week before told us that he didn't know university guidelines and that we can't). Maybe I just didn't like his teaching style, but I did not enjoy this class at all.

He is very interesting and animated. Young and knows how to connect with the students to make the class interesting. Definitely need to read the textbook and follow along in class because there are pop quizzes. The class is not too hard as long as you do the work and all the info is not that hard to absorb so it's ok

The class is extraordinarily easy. I went to lecture twice and each time regretted wasting fifty minutes of my life. To get an A, you just need to attend discussion regularly and study the textbook the night before the exam. Dooley himself seems nice, though he does get really upset when people talk during lecture.

Hilarious and extremely sexy in a nerdy/cool type of way. Clear about content, great TA's, easy exams (multiple choice), One in class writing. I kept up with the readings and attended lecture and discussion some of the time. Overall, great teacher! We need more profs like him on campus.

funny/corny professor.. makes lectures easier to stay awake.. tests were multiple choice.. if you kept up with the readings and lecture notes, then you'd do good on the tests.. one in-class writing assignment, not too bad.. interesting class, pretty basic stuff
