Amazing prof, amazing thinker. His views aren't all in line with the institutional standard, but he doesn't come across as pointlessly contrary. Thinking is required, doesn't grade at all on how much your paper's position aligns with his (unusual in Theo), work will be reflected in your grade.

TH3330 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

He is a very informal, intelligent professor who is more than happy to meet with students who are confused or want to go deeper. He is also very gracious with his grading. I loved his Sys Theo II class! It changed my thinking in so many ways!

Dr. Johnson is top of the line in academia, a humble man who is unbelievably passionate about the gospel and theological understanding. Absolutely amazing for Systematics (for anyone who is fearful of theology or the difficulties... take him. Trust me)

Johnson challenges you to think deeply about theology in remarkable ways. He allows for lots of class discussion and helps students think through questions. Rarely does he simply answer a question, but answers each question with another question. Some of his views seem a tad eclectic, but they're always well thought-out. Highly recommended.
