My favorite professor at Hunter by far. He's very nice, funny, and knows his subject well. He has a British accent that you get used to after one class. Does reviews before the midterm and final. Offers extra credit project at the end. Easily makes times for his students if they need to talk to him outside of class. You WILL NOT REGRET taking him!

Amazing teacher and cute too. He's funny and I love the material, but class was a little slow paced. I still loved it. He only gives 2 tests and a 5-6 page paper.

He's a really cool and funny professor. His exams are easy as long as you go to his review sessions and of course study. The readings are fun and he shows some movie scenes once in a while. Overall, definitely recommend taking him!

I had grk n latin roots and i thought the class was excellent. the information was extremely useful and applicable to my everyday reading. he tried hard to tell us great stories of the origins of some of the words and made the class interesting. a memorizing class with easy material to learn. would def recommend this class and prof! =)

Knows his stuff and loves what he does. Makes interesting and fun to learn an otherwise boring material. Tries out many different methods to supplement coursework, which actually does help. Makes connections to real life and modern English so in the future students can build upon the knowledge gained in class. Lot of memorization but otherwise easy

Professor Dakin is a good professor. He has a British accent and really knows his stuff. The class he taught was Latin & Greek Roots of English but he says alot of stuff that has to do with Greek Mythology. At first the class was easy then he made it harder so we could get something from it. HW is from the work book due every class.
