I had Prof. Capo in the fall semester. She was one of the kindest Prof. I have met at Purchase. She is always willing to help and genuinley wants to give clarity to the subject at hand. The readings sparked intrest in areas I never thought possible. She always corrected the true meaning of the readings when I was off.

DRA3890 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Her ineptitude is staggering. Lectures rarely had anything to do with the topic. Assignments were returned with useless comments, when they were returned at all. A "generous" offer to redo failed assignments was proffered with three days to go before the end of the semester. She has no business teaching here or anywhere. This isn't even news.

DWR3120 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

She is absolutely nice as can be, but she's also all over the place. She tends to ramble and wander with her thoughts, making it impossible to take notes. She assigns a boatload of work, and only sometimes hands it back or lets you know if you're missing assignments. Great person, somewhat painful to have to take a class with.

DRA3665 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Since nobody has commented for Fall 2006, I would like to say that Kay Ellen Capo is still the worst professor at Purchase. Dealing with her is like dealing with a child... and despite the WOM prefix, there was nothing "women studies" about this cross-listed course. She taught Ibsen and Chekov the same way she does in all of her classes.

Doc Theater Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

So magically inept it makes me cry: forgot that she DIDN'T give assignments, then penalized us for not doing them - only 5 people signed up for the class, said some pretty interesting things about Nazis and how they really aren't that bad? I don't know, to each his or her own. Revoke her tenure, please, she's taking up space, she inspires no one.

Women in Drama Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Very nice woman, but absolutely impossible to learn from. She has a clear grasp of the information, but not even the slightest clue as to how to make it interesting or remotely learnable. She never hands back assignments, so you don't know how you're doing in the class until it's too late. Her classes are a complete waste of time.

Doc. Theater Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Unequivically, the most inept, uninteresting, and downright awful teacher I've had in my life. Her assignments are dense, and she drops them in the form of anecdotes in unrelated conversations so if you nod off, you'll miss the homework. You will nod off. The only way her class could be good is if everyone got a complementary shot of morphine.

Theater History Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

If you like hearing about her family life and hear her rants and raves that have nothing to do with what you are actually studying, then have fun. Take her if your have to fulfill grad requirements.
