Travis is a nice guy... but teaching is not for him. I liked him personally, but his lecturing and teaching style was not my favorite. He would tell you how you will do a problem, but not actually work through it. Tough class. Spent a lot of time getting help outside class.

Had him for my Math 241 discussion. He was much more helpful than the lectures, and clarified things that the professor was unclear on. Despite what other reviews say, you will not get a good grade if you "show him that you're trying". He wants you to actually learn the material. He's a funny guy and going to his office hours can be super helpful.

Travis was the most helpful teacher I have ever had. He spent a lot of time helping me. Very quick to respond to emails. Breaks things down really well. His quizes/tests are really tough, but if you show him you are willing to work hard and are trying, you can pass the class. This is coming from someone who is awful at math. Take his class!

He's a good teacher in terms of explaining problems over and over again until you understand the concept. However, he does it in a way that you feel really stupid for asking a question. He was strict on homework and for the most part was extremely boring! Take this class with someone else!

He's a really good GTF, however, I found his quizzes to be hard—he makes the quizzes hard questions. I got B's on both my midterms. Very good at responding to emails and office hours. I would recommend taking him..

He was really helpful. If you go to class and do the homework you'll do fine in the class. He's always willing to help. If you don't enjoy Math that much I suggest taking him. If you start to miss classes and you've never learned the information before you're going to get lost, but he's a nice guy and going to his office hours is really helpful.

He is kind of an odd guy, but he is funny as hell. Math isn't my thing but he encourages students to attend office hours and it helped me a lot. Also, no one responds to emails faster than him. Quizzes can be tough, but other than that the class/hw are easy. Would recommend.

He's a GTF, super fun, helpful, one of the best, etc. There are quizzes once a week, but not hard (as long as you understand what's going on in the class). Super helpful, if you email him, he replies back asap. I totally recommend taking his class! Explains concepts good & makes it fun (:
