ENGL285
Professor Richard ("call me Drew") pretty much changed my life. He took a crappy class put together by boredom incarnate (prof vanderbrog, if you're interested) and made it funny/challenging for those who cared enough to try. he also treated me to dinner and helped me with my papers for other classes, stayed in touch after semester ended. CLASS ACT
ENGL285
American Lit. Discussion Leader. He turned a terrible class into something almost enjoyable, and is pretty funny too. fair grader. Clearly cares about his students and would do anything to help them learn. He actually wants people to learn something, but will force nothing on you and class is entirely what you make of it. highly recommend.
ENGL285
Super chill and helpful! Doesn't require attendance and grades very fairly. Do your reading and you will be just fine.

easily the best TA Ive ever had. Avoid if you're not self-motivated. he's extremely sink or swim-ish. Students who don't try don't get much help. effort = As in his class.
ENGL285
king of the TAs. try pulling his string sometime (ask about Japanese lit). love this man.
ENGL285
Nerdy. Attractive. Loves his students. So. Much. Fun. He's actually kinda tough/expects more out of his students than other TAs I've had. But if you put in the effort, you'll get an A. He wants to give it to you, but you gotta earn it. Love this guy.
ENGL285
grade totally depends on how hard you work. he keeps all your papers and refers back to make sure youre improving and trying hard as the course goes on. young and friendly towards students. goes out of his way to help you out. Just be sure if you don't understand his feedback on your paper to go talk to him about it 'cause he expects improvement
ENGL285
Really young + covered in tattoos. When he lectures its really interesting. breaks all the rules (in a good way) and goes out of his way to give readings that work for students. hes also one of the kindest professors ive ever had about absences and stuff that happens in your life. He grades almost completely on what he calls 'effort and improvement
