His lectures are clear and organized, but quizzes and exams can be difficult. He doesn't allow calculators on exams yet throws in confusing fractions. He doesn't offer much help if you ask a question about the homework.

Dr. Greicius is a pretty decent professor overall. If you've taken calculus in high school or at a previous school, you should be fine. If you haven't, it's quite difficult and will take a lot of work to do well. Take the quizzes seriously as a good average will compensate for one poor test grade (all quizzes are weighed the same as one test).

He is not a horrible teacher. He really wants you to understand the material and is very helpful. Sometimes his explanations are long and confusing, but it's calculus...

Lecture is just the easiest of concepts of the homework. Misses a lot of the concepts we need to actually complete the homework. Gets annoyed if you ask a question. Snaps back if you don't know the answer to a question. Lectures are dry. Uses powerpoints. I used the book more than his lectures because he's not good at teaching. Pretty bad teacher.

He is a very smart man and obviously has a passion for the subject. This class is not at all easy and it really requires time with the homework and studying. He is a generous grader on weekly quizzes (every Wednesday) and on exams. he did have an attitude at times and would not be willing to explain a concept because it would not be on the quiz.

11 weekly quizzes (takes best 9), 2 exams, and a final. He makes them tough, but he hands out partial credit VERY generously. Not an easy A, but he's a good guy. He's always willing to do classwork when he notices a popular confusion with the material. I would recommend.

Amazing math teacher! I've always needed a good math teacher and this guy was really effective. I had to previously drop calc because I had a bad teacher, but when I had this class, it was so different! I actually enjoyed math! Quizzes once a week (easy), tests aren't bad either. There is also wileyplus homework. He is very helpful-Take him!!

Very reasonable workload and tests/quizzes are accurate reflections of what you learn in class. Really nice guy who seems to care a lot about the students' understanding of the material. He gives examples until the concept is clear and is laid back and approachable if you have questions. Extremely handsome as well, overall take him if you can!

Dr. Greicius is the man! super helpful during class and during office hours. I did poorly on the first exam and he helped me bring my grade up to an A-. never had a better professor.

A very pleasant and fun teacher; explains material clearly and patiently. Very helpful in his office hours, but usually rushes in between his classes. you need to attend his classes, take weekly ok quizzes, participate in group work, ask questions, do practice tests before exams. Wiley + hwk is easy, but annoying.

He's a real nice guy,but as far as teaching he absolutely SUCKS!Quizzes are given every monday and wiley plus hw is due every monday at 6pm. He's final was freaking difficult if not impossible & took the full time.Take him if you know your MATH!He focuses way to much on concepts, hardly gives any math examples, when he does there always the same ones

He's a cool guy. I like him as a person, but not so much as a professor. He's willing to help students who go to his office hours A LOT. Aside from that, he won't be of much help. So if you take him, make sure you can go to his office hours. Also, this class just plain sucks. Take Goebel if you can, but he hardly ever teaches it.

Great teacher, very energetic and involved. Goes to great lengths to break down complicated concepts. Quizzes are a gimme if you attend class, online homework is a bit quirky, but easy enough. Tests are straight forward, no trick questions, no compound logic. Also can speak english properly, which many math professors at loyola cannot!

He's a really nice guy and cares for his students....he wants us to do well. He is very available for outside help. However, his teaching of the material is very poor. You sit in class while he makes the simplest topics complex. He is very wordy in his notes and is all over the place while giving us notes. I would find another teacher.
