Maroulas is a terrible professor. He doesn't curve test grades and as a result has exam grade averages of 60-70. He makes the homework harder than how he explains in class and makes nearly impossible exams. I never went to his office hours, but I did go to my TA's. She made it easier to understand, but not deep enough to do well on the exams.

His tests are difficult but they are straight from the homework. So you get out of the class what you put into it. He's very intimidating but he can be helpful.

Maroulas is probably my favorite teacher that I've had at college so far. He takes a boring subject and makes it pretty enjoyable. He's also hilarious and he does a great job explaining the material. Really the homework load isn't bad at all. The test are fairly hard but if you do the homework you really shouldn't have any trouble with it.

Maroulas is a great professor. He's Greek, so he has an accent, but he's still easy to understand. He assigns hw from the textbook but doesn't use it too much for teaching. Hw is due every class, and is worth 25% of final grade, so you do have to go to almost every class. I would highly recommend taking 251 with him.

absolutely awful. You can hardly understand him and he teaches straight from the book hardly elaborating. He puts too much weight on tests and gives little room for recovery.
