"Get ready to read" "Tests are tough"

Jeff is very professional. I really enjoyed his class. However, you have to work hard for a good grade. No one gets 100% on his tests but he always curves the grade. I would recommend but only if you're up for a challenge

ASTRO100 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Although this class was a lot of work due to having homework everyday, and super stressful and challenging tests, this was one of the best classes I've ever taken. Worth the challenge and effort because you learn so much, and prof. Zirul is awesome and so passionate.

ASTRO 100 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: A

This class will take A LOT of effort. There is daily homework and the tests are hard, but this professor is great! You can tell he loves astronomy and can explain answers to your questions very well. I don't recommend this class unless you are interested in astronomy and willing to work!

He is a great Physics teacher. His exam is a bit hard, his office hours are online, hw every day, but I really enjoyed his class and got good grade.

This class is a lot of work. You'll have homework that you need to do everyday, not just for the grade but to keep up in the class too. Tests are difficult but there is a curve, and also there are plenty of opportunities for extra credit via twitter. Would recommend only if you have an actual interest in astronomy, not a class for an easy grade

Physics 201 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: A+

Zirul is a great professor and explains very well. The students that say bad things about him are just lazy. He let's you use all your notes for exams including calculators. His labs are always fun. It is very easy to get a good grade in his class. He is very generous with his grading scale. He used to teach physics at UW so you know he's good.

PHYS 201 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: A+

Dr.Zirul may not be the best for Physics 110 but he was perfect for Physics 201. Almost everyone got a 4.0 at the end of the quarter. He is very generous with his grading. An overall grade of 80% or above is a 4.0, 60% is 3.0, and 40% is 2.0. Gives a lot of extra credit. Always available after class and he does have office hours. Teaches perfectly!

No office hours at all. If you have a question regarding homework after class ended, he doesn't even have time to stay after. The questions you ask, does not clarify, instead he asks you a question that is irrelevant. He goes of topic a lot. Makes you rely on the internet, textbook, youtube, etc. He is lazy, very lazy.

His class is only hard if you don't study but it's very fun cuz hes so enthusiastic. Only has HW every two days and has an easy grading scale (80% is a 4.0) Only thing to be careful about are exams. Make sure you ask EXACTLY how he wants you to answer or you'll lose points. Let us use 1 pg notes on exams tho. Its very easy to contact him for help.
