ECON 302 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Dr. Scotese is an awesome professor. It is easy to get an A in her class if you are prepared. You can't wait until the last minute to study or ask questions. Like most courses, if you stay ahead by reading the PowerPoints and textbook before the lecture you'll do fine.

Very sweet lady. Class itself is very hard. Tests are hard. Essays are easy but don't do much for your grade. Many of my classmates had to retake her class last semester.

ECON 302 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

She is a very sweet lady, but the class itself is very difficult. Lectures are ambiguous, tests are difficult, and does not drop lowest quiz grade. Essays are very straight forward though. If you value your grade, do not take her.

ECON 303 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Easily the hardest class I have taken at VCU. Grading scale and essay requirements are very ambiguous. No partial credit on multiple part questions. Does not do what she says she will in grading. (Doesn't drop a quiz, etc) Class is way harder than it should be. My understanding for Macroeconomics is well above average. My grade didn't reflect that.

econ 302 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Her testing standards are extremely difficult and do not line up with the book or with what is explained in class. If you value your game then avoid her.

Dr. Scotese is an amazing professor, if she does not spark your interest in macroeconomic theory then maybe something will. Her classes are well structured, informative, and she is always prepared. She is also great for answering questions outside of class that have to do both with what you're learning and any other macro questions you might have

Dr. Scotese is an excellent professor. I cannot overstate the wealth of information she puts at your disposal on Blackboard both for exam preparation and general macroecon news. You'll need to work at her class but by no means it is overwhelming. She really stands out in the amount of work she puts into making sure you feel prepared for exams.

Her class is challenging, but if you attend class and study the notes, you should be able to do well in the course. She is very good about helping students understand the material when they come to her with questions, and will take time outside of her office hours to help if the office hours don't work with a student's schedule. Super nice too!!
