CS 357 Taken for Credit:Yes Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A
"Big time extra credit" "Would take again"

Andreas is a very kind professor who really loves his job, his work, and his students. I am not a CS major, but his teaching of Python was slow enough for me to become very proficient with it. Homeworks will challenge you, but they have long due dates and even I could figure them out. Help is always available via Piazza. I loved this class!

CS 357 Taken for Credit:Yes Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A
"Lectures are long"

He says Um probably 30 times during lecture and is never fully prepared for class. He obviously knows the material well but cannot portray it in a way that is understandable in class. Yeah he makes review videos but that is only because he doesnt teach it right in class. The homework is pointless to do because it doesnt resemble the tests at all

"There for you" "Amazing lectures" "Respected by students"

Andreas is at UIUC now. Take CS 357 with him! I have never seen a teacher so dedicated to his students' learning. For example, he records videos outside of class for concepts he feels students are still confused about. Homeworks are every two weeks, and the same amount of work as an MP. Best to know Python before taking this class.

DiscrMath Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Seriously *awesome* professor. Takes the time to go over material and practice problems (and exams!). Super approachable and helpful. Nice enough not to push for answers / handraising. A++ would enroll again!

Probably one of the best math professors I've had and ever will have at this university. Makes exams tricky but not impossible. Really helps students out and knows how to teach really well unlike the rest of the math professors.
