He is a really really great professor! i took his class in fall 2013. His class is super clear and i like the atmosphere of the class! He is the only teacher that makes me willing to come to class everything day :)

Russell is the best professor I've ever had in De Anza. He is a veeeeeery funny and attractive person, he make the class never boring, NEVER!!! No need to take final exam if u have perfect attendance. Not hard to get an A, but only if you have passion to give speechs. You cannot expect more for a speech class. Take it. You will never regret.

I believe this class was one of the most influencial, uplifting, and inspiring that I have ever taken. Russell has a passion for teaching and is definately a great professor for you! Attendance is important, but its worth it to show up to every class because if you do, you wont have to take the final. I had to take the final. -HillHale

Day 1 to the end, Russell was one of the best examples of what a teacher should be. Knew he had to keep us interested AND teach us stuff. Very consistant, class is not EASY, per se, but he made it easy. Expect to work, but you won't die. It was interesting and fun; do yourself a favor, don't take this class with anyone else! Glad I did!

Outstanding. I had him for both spch 10 and 16. He helps a lot. the whole class becomes a loving family who cares for each other. Just do your work and respect everyone. Amin :)
