Plant diversity wasnt all that interesting but she does make it doable. Go to class, take notes off her slides, understand the material during class and you wont have to go back for too long to memorize.

Shes an awesome professor, if you go to class with a laptop or something you can type fast on and take down all the notes on all her slides you can easily get an A if you study the material and actually understand it during class you can also get an A. I used the textbook a little in the beginning and realized i didnt even need it.

Avoid Professor Egan at all costs. She does not care about the students, will not try to help you if you need extra help. Does not post slides before class, does not email you back if you email her, and makes the tests out of very small details from the slides. You should go to class because what she says will be on the exams.

Fails to post notes prior to class. You must attend class or you will miss some abstract sentence she says that appears on the test, but is not in the notes. Her tests focus on insignificant details rather than important overall concepts. Her lectures are extremely boring but you must attend. Goes too fast for her notes and there is no echo. AVOID.

She's pretty tough. She doesn't post all of her slides and anything said in lecture is fair game for the exams, so taking notes is a must. Reading the textbook helps a lot. Exams themselves are fair, but you absolutely HAVE to study to do well. You can tell she loves the subject, but the class isn't the easiest and is a LOT of work.

The worst part about this professor is that she does not post her slides and goes entirely too fast to be able to write anything down. HIGHLY suggested to bring the textbook and highlight (since essentially everything on the slides is from there). 3 Tests (that are fair), a few homework assignments. Nice professor, just old school.

This course is not easy. You're not going to just be learning photosynthesis, food chains, etc. It goes pretty in depth and you'll learn a lot, but it will be tough. Notes are not posted, so write down ANYTHING you can. I bought the electronic version of the text - not smart. Buy the book, bring it to class and highlight. Know the figures by heart.

I wouldn't recommend her. She does not post notes, she does not let you have exams back to study for final. Her grading is unclear.Exams are fill in the blank, short answer, and multiple choice. Hard to study for this class even with going over everything in the book. Study guides are given 2 days before exam..

horrible teacher. doesn't post notes, goes super fast so its super hard to take notes, and pulls information out of no where that makes it hard to study. Follows the book sometimes which is good when you realize theres no way you can write doen everything in time, but when she gets her information from random places your pretty screwed study wise

Not the best, not the worst. Nice woman, knows her stuff.. however she can be a little unorganized. Her one downfall however, is she does not post any of her lecture slides on Bb (and goes through them too fast to take notes) - it would be wise to bring your textbook to class and highlight what she says.
