Great teacher, covers what he needs to and answers any questions/repeats details or re-explains if asked. Variation in tone when lecturing, friendly guy. NO surprises on tests. Not hard to study, just memorize material (look at notes, text, and lab work). Tests mostly mult choice, few fill-in's.

There is a huge amount of information presented in this class. It is NOT easy. Come to every lecture and lab. If you answer all study questions and lab questions you will do well on exams. Norris can be a bit scattered with lecturing, but is easy to listen to. He is very helpful if you just ask. Don't take this class with a full load.

NORRIS IS AWESOME! Will definitely be looking forward to take more of his classes. Elaborates on everything and explains any questions that you have. Testing is straight forward - no trick questions or anything! Funny man as well. Great professor. He's also good looking.

One of the greatest teachers at WV. I hated biology before but he makes it really easy to understand and is so unbelievably helpful if you don't understand something. Extremely nice and very funny. A+ Quality teacher for sure. If you have to take biology, definitely take him!

Prof. Norris is very clear in all of his lectures and takes the time to explain any material that may not be clear. He makes the material very easy to remember and comprehend by usning a lot of examples. Take good notes, use the the chapter outlines that he provides show up for lecture and you will get an easy B.

He genuinely wants his students to do well and succeed and he was very helpful when I was struggling to keep a B in anatomy. The class is fast, but it has to be and he does a good job with the material. I really learned most of the stuff, didn't just memorize it. He's a nice guy and a good teacher. I'll take him again for physiology.

If you want to get an A in this class you should stay up late to read the book before class,record his lecture for quizzes,ask him right away for unclear stuffs, practice and practice ...You have to read the textbook to catch 10%-15% information he will pull out for the exam which is barely talked in class. Good luck!

SO FRUSTRATED! he expects you to know EVERYTHING! Study GD's are joke! Does not focus on important stuff which lead to quiz/exam!! S/B pretty basic concept for professor. Expects to know it ALL AND HOPE FOR THE BEST ON EXAM DAY? COME ON!

Very helpful texbook mostly for pictures. Gotta put the time into it but if you do you will do fine.

He knows his stuff but doesn't know how to relay it to his students very well. He lectures very fast and goes back and forth between different subjects without warning. Doesn't repeat things, and when he does he says it in a whole different way. Doesn't use many pictures. If your a visual learner like me, good luck!

Nice person but..He said that if textbook was enough,we wouldn't need him.He must've been joking!It's easier to follow hard textbook than his lectures.Just use text.to answer his study/lab Q.s and study that way.Forget his lectures!!Although he tries..but looses us when giving all possible variations.He should know KISS- keep it simple..as possible

Pretty nice guy, but goes so fast it's very difficult to take good notes in his class. This semester he doubled up on lecture material during the week prior to the exam (1.5 hours in lecture, 1.5 hours in lab. I'm so frustrated. Everyone else I've talked to feels the same way.

Excellent professor, knows his stuff, very good at explaining everything. Goes at a slow pace. You don't need to do readings.. just come to class and you will be fine. I got an A and I literally did no work.

very smart. knows what he's talking about. good explanations and happy to help students. it was only hard because of a lot of memorizations(well it's anatomy) but he's very good at explaining the concepts of the subject. I HIGHLY recommend this prof.

Very smart guy, I don't know how this guy doesn't have a PhD, he should be a freaking doctor, he's so smart. He's really good at explaining stuff, and he's super helpful. Pretty good-looking guy as well. He looks like a thinner, better-looking version of John Goodman from "The Big Lebowski."

So...he is a really nice guy. Unfortunately he treats you like a community college student, which is good, if you want to be treated like that. Overall he is fun, but his jokes are bad.

Wow, what a legend this guy is. I went to a big time 4-year university and this guy is the best professor I've had,by far. Knows his stuff inside out, and his energy level is out of this world. He really gets you into the material and makes it interesting. Super funny too, you'll be dreaming about "interstitial fluid" and "homeostasis" in no time

He is the hardest teacher I have ever had and this is the hardest class I have ever taken. I did not use the textbook at all because his lectures were so thorough that I did not need the book. Just go to class, take notes, pay attention and an A is possible. He is a man you love to hate! he has the best personality but you hate him come test time!
