Great Prof! He's super helpful and extremely clear about what's expected. As long as you go to class and take notes from the PowerPoint slides you'll be fine. If you blow off the class, though, you probably won't do well. He's very sweet outside of class & really wants you to do well. It's very easy to do well if you go to class &read occasionally.

PH100 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

He was a great professor. Got me very interested in philosophy and also made me want to minor in it. I think the concepts he talks about are very interesting and that he is very enthusiastic about hearing what people have to say. I would definitely recommend the course and I look forward to taking another philosophy course soon because of him.

Professor Elpidorou was a good teacher, definitely got me interested in the material. sometimes hard to understand, but he's very nice and willing to meet outside of class! Tests weren't too difficult, didn't need to do reading as long as you pay attention.

Professor Elpidorou is absolutely amazing. He somehow manages to explain extremely difficult concepts in clear, understandable terms. He keeps the class interesting with relatable analogies and relevant readings. Every student in my class participated in lively discussions that were never once dull. I absolutely recommend him. Fav professor at BU!

The class is harder and more intense than most intro to ph classes I know of. He bases the class off of articles that he summarizes in power points; you have to agree with his summaries or you are wrong. The lack of structure makes it harder-he thinks that the same 5 people raising their hands means everyone understands the material.

Professor Elpidorou never uses any text books or hard facts that allow you to investigate the material further. There is only 3 exams. For a 100 level philosophy class, it is MUCH harder and MUCH more in depth than others. If you go to lectures and discussions you can do well, but to get a B+ or better is close to impossible. Nice guy though.
