ACCT 3020 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Most helpful teacher at ETSU, the tests are not as hard as everyone made them out to be, just genuinely work through the homework and you'll do fine. Let's you use a notecard on tests and read ahead for the quizzes, way easier than everyone made it out to be.

ACCT 3020 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: A

You must pre-read the text and make use of the many practice problems that he will hand out during class. The material and, thus, his exams, can be difficult. However, his exam questions are often very similar to those practice problems that are worked in class.

ACCT 3020 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: B

The key to this class is doing the work. Masino warned students upfront that if the cut corners their grades would suffer. He outlined everything step by step. Exam material is the same as the book but Masino has a way of making you "think" for it. This class was my hardest accounting class but I learned the most.

I took tax with Dr. Masino Fall 2012 and worked hard for my A. He teaches students tax as the only career path. His exams are hard but can be overcome if you complete the tax return projects. If you put forth effort, he is nice. After graduation he assisted me finding a job out of state. Everything he taught in class we do in our tax dept. daily.

My ACCT3010 prof read powerpoints. While he was very nice, basically taught yourself the material. 3020 is the opposite. Dr. Masino gives students templates of problems and walks thru each one. We work every problem out together. The exams are based on the examples but very tough. I've never worked so hard but learned a ton. Plus he is funny.

I am in ACCT 3410 now, the earlier comment, that was hilarious because the student is an idiot. Dr. Masino states first day, read the book because his lectures address the objectives with examples. He provides outlines, power point slides, practice exams and tax returns. His tests are brutal but passable.

I would not recommend Masino if you can take Schnieder. Masino does not stay on target very easily. His teaching is quick and sporadic. Just because he talks for 5 minutes on a subject does not mean he teaches it! And Yes, He will help you after class. That is if you want to hear all his personal BS. Wow he definitely tells TOO much personal info!

Great professor. The class is hard, but if you pay attention and do your homework AND extra credit returns, you will learn a lot and pass. He is the best professor I have ever had at ETSU. Highly recommended.

The tests are difficult. Study hard and most importantly listen in class. He's tough, but approachable and will assist one who is willing to learn.
