Pros Very confident in what he teaches. Very ambitious teaching style and makes sure that you understand the content. You can feel that he genuinely wants you to succeed. Cons Relies heavily on studying and reading on our own time as the class mainly consists of only practice questions.

He is on of the worst profs to have ever taught accounting. He trails off a lot, doesn't care about his students, doesn't take up tests and can't even explain how to do a question properly. His lecture style is very unorganized and unclear. He has ppts from the textbook but doesnt even use them. Avoid at all costs. You will regret.

Agree with the previous poster. 801 is a GPA booster when next to 514/703/742/842. Santoso is a very nice prof, clear with his expectations, and sets extremely fair tests. Sure his accent is hard to understand sometimes but so what? He's super helpful and nice and the course is pure textbook. Just knowing homework guarantees you a B.

This course is a breeze compared to intermediate financial accounting. Even if you can't understand him in class, the textbook explains everything perfectly. Read the book, do the questions and his tests are just fine. People complaining about 801 should not be in accounting.

What are all these people angry about? This course is easy, a gpa booster. I only went to class for tests and final exam, since his lectures were not that great and it was at 9am on fridays. but he does help you. guys the key is the assigned homework questions, easy A if you do ALL of them. no surprises on exam. class avg 68%. 78% passed the course

usually never post ratings on ratemyprof, but this one deserves mention. Terrible professor, extremely confusing and inconsistent. Not only confuses his students, but also confuses himself. Stopped going to class after 2 weeks, and learned more on my own that what he can teach. Follow the examples in the textbook and the midterm should be a breeze.

unless you can teach a course to yourself NEVER take santoso he puts concepts and questions on the test he specifically said he wouldn't and his teaching is extremely disorganized and confusing...he only teaches theory for a course thats mainly application/math based and he doesnt give any part marks even if you do 70% of the question right

This professor really emphasizes his way and not the textbook way. He relies on the textbook, but then flips it to make it "his way." He is a nice prof, but can be difficult to understand with his accent, sometimes. He's very fair, but don't expect pity marks. I would recommend him only if you plan on showing up and paying attention! Do hmwk, too!!

Beware!!! Worst teacher you will have. Midterm was fairly easy although there were few questions that came out of nowhere. However, I just got out of the final, and the difficulty level was hardcore. You would be lucky to finish things up in final. And BTW, he is very confusing. Do not trust this teacher, if you have him. Goodluck!

He is an okay prof. However the course material is very textbook based so make sure to do all the practice questions.

very confusing teacher. says one thing does another. be careful to use him as a guide. you would be better off studying by yourself. thank god the book is very clear about the examples (albeit not covering few topics Santosa surprises students in the midterm).

One of the worst prof. you ask question, especially in midterms- because the terminology he uses in midterm is different from the book, leaving you confused- he gets mad. 2 big questions in midterm were the topics he and textbook never covered. we hadn't even heard about the topic until the midterm. he did not even warn us about it.

one of the worst profs i've ever had his lectures dont make sense and they dont help with any of the textbook problems. i learned far more from my textbook than from his lectures. he marks generally hard and to the book. i would take accounting with someone else if i were given the option

Santoso is a class act and an exceptional educator. With years of impressive work experience, the man knows his stuff and knows how to teach it. HIGHLY recommended for 410 and 801.

He is a great professor to learn from but you have to show up to and participate in each and every lecture to do well. The PPT slides are really helpful but if you really want to do well, read the textbook and do all the problems. Midterm and final were fair evaluations so if you study hard, you'll do fine.

He is not helpful at all!! Told the class that the assigned homework questions would be enough to get an A if completed... completely wrong, marks the second midterm 1 day before the exam and the funny part does not allow students to get their midterms back

Wonderful Prof!! very helpful very easy to get an A, A+ in the course if you pay attention and look at the equations outta the text. He tends to simplify the books equations but its all on you whether you want to learn his way or by the textbook i got an A in the course with only a few days of studying the material overall very easy class!
