UPNS 112 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

I feel that people don't give this guy enough credit. Yeah he is tough but, so are many great teachers. He is the first real challenge I've met since coming to this school. My tip to getting an A in his class is to take the time needed to really read through the material he gives and just bullet point the main ideas. Also peering it up helps too.

UPNS 112-01 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: B

Dr. Larew is not a good professor. His topics have little to do with the quizzes, which makes it hard to prepare for both the quizzes and the midterm/final exams. He does not respond to emails well. You need to email him multiple times before he possibly responds. When questions are asked, he gives students answers that make them even more confused

UPNS112 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Dr. Larew is not helpful and does not have students' education as a priority. He simply likes to hear himself talk. The course could be helpful to nursing students, but due to Larew's "instructing" it is impossible to learn anything. He does not quiz on content, but about his own opinions. If I did not have to take this class, I WOULD NEVER.

UPNS 112 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

His topics during lecture very rarely have anything to do with nursing. He bases his content solely off of random website articles and long, irrelevant PDFs. It is difficult to know what to study for his impossible 10 question, 2 point quizzes. He is extremely defensive and unhelpful when students ask questions. Avoid him at all costs.

He gets extremely off topic and doesn't allow us to have enough time to complete in class assignments due to his rambling. He also has moved on after a student asked a question without giving an answer. His quizzes are almost impossible to pass and the quiz questions are also full of contradictions which makes it even more difficult.
