Extremely rude when you ask questions. Assignments (homework & forum postings) are clumped together and never graded. Quizzes are misspelled and always have grammar issues which makes them harder then they have to be. High homework volume doesn't allow you to prepare for speeches adequately. I strongly advise not taking this instructor.

She had a good sense of humor, but she's a horrible teacher. She only covered portions of the book, she didn't give you enough time to do the assignments, she didn't let you make up missed speeches, and she expected you to know all the material without ever reviewing it. I don't mind speech, but I hated her class, and she made the class DREADFUL.

Nice person, but not a good teacher. Late to class almost everyday, and she talked about useless stuff for half of the class. Then she would yell because we didnt understand and all she yelled was Read the book!!! Anyway, i passed the class and didnt read one page in that speech book.

I took the online course with Ms. Mason, and be warned: very writing intensive. You'll have to travel to main campus to give four speeches. They're not hard--as long as you learn something from the book and apply it to your speeches you'll do fine. Seems overwhelemed wich leads to disorganization sometimes.

tries to be funny but wastes time talking about what she ate for lunch. She requires you to memorize the book and take a ton of notes that you will only use for an exam. You'll research for 2 weeks for a speech that receives an average grade. I've been giving speeches at corporations for 10 years, & got a B+ from her.

She has an amazing personality; very smart, funny, and charasmatic. I will say that you must perform well while speaking, she is a stikler with outlines. All in all, it was a very good experience. I recommend!

funny, dry but funny sense of humor not to hard to get along with but i can see where she might be choosy.. but overall fair teacher if you do your work..

you have to talk to her 1-on-1 to succeed, which i think is ridiculous. that's what CLASS is for. she's very jumbled with her thoughts, but overall, i think you'll be happy you took it. it def. helps with speaking in front of others & writing speeches

Unusual method of teaching but, very productive method.She always expressed "reaserch" as the key to life. She was right. Ms. Mason's class has helped improve my life greatly. Totally thumbs-up for her.

Late everyday, but always with an inventive excuse, she was probably one of the most ineffective teachers I've ever had. She is a very nice PERSON, but as a TEACHER, she needs serious work. Avoid her if you can.
