Going to lecture is pointless, your better off just reading the textbook. Not to mention that his notes are already online, you can just read those and understand it better, making lecture useless. Very boring and horrible at teaching.

Keister's lectures are basically supplemental to the textbook. Theoretically, you could probably skip all of his lectures and just read the textbook thoroughly, and you'll be fine. Keister isn't super-clear about the material, and he doesn't do very many practice problems. Go to recitation, understand the homework, and definitely read the textbook.

A very good professor. You just have to know what he is thinking to be able to get a good grade, and you will be able to do so just by attending class and doing your homework. If not, then good luck failing. He is always ready to answer questions. You will learn so much from him.

If you are good at chem, you will do fine in the class. But if you're like me, not a chem person at all, then you need to work really hard. Dr. Keister is a great guy, class is boring and easy to not focus but he does a good job teaching and if you pay attention you actually learn a lot. He is VERY helpful if you simply ask! I was failing his course miserably in the beginning but when I ASKED FOR HELP he explained everything so I understood it. Great guy.

The class is only hard if you never show and feel the need to sleep when you do. Read and look at the prac. exams because he simply copy and paste them and changes the variables. Howver, the damned lab is worthless.

CHE 107 with Keister is a matter of just reading the book with the lectures. I never really found him boring, I spent most of class time taking a lot of notes. Speaks English, posts the slides online, and seems friendly.

hard class if you dont do any work. he is a really boring guy and his lectures suck. he uses powerpoint and posts all the files online so you can easily get them. reading the book and doing the homework helps the most for his tests.

Really boring lecturer. Everybody always slept in that class or didn't bother showing up. his lecture notes dont have examples because he wants people to show up to his boring lecture and take the examples from there. you will do fine reading the book.
