It's quite a boring class, the content is not that exciting at all and Paul does what he can with it, his tests are straight from his notes which are comprehensive so just study from those and you'll be fine. There's not really any reason to show up to class most people aren't paying attention while they are there anyway.

Dr. Myers is a great prof in a small class setting! Weekly labs were helpful but could be time-consuming. Midterm and final were similar to the types of examples done in class. He was happy to help answer questions after class/at office hours. Has a good sense of humour and is pretty easy-going. Flexible with due dates if asked. Highly recommended!

Overall good prof. Some of his test questions are identical to the practice questions, and others are kind of poorly worded and confusing. Overall, exams aren't too bad. He seems to care that students enjoy his class and find it interesting, but it can be a little boring sometimes. He's super clear and organised, which is nice.

It takes him two weeks to mark an exam. Just ridiculous.

Good prof who actually cares about teaching - actually wants students to understand the stuff before moving along. Exams were very much like the practice he posts, but attending class will help in nailing those specific questions.

Hint, Hint I would recommend reading the textbook throughly (like a psych text). Although notes are in line with exams, if you want to hit the specific questions read the textbook. Nice guy, fair yet still difficult exams, I liked the class but thats because I did good in it.

He is so great for this class. Very helpful, patient and really easy to talk to about any problems. He gives alot of examples, so you should go to every class. Great professor!

This class is very straightforward course. You don't need to go to lectures, just study the notes and you'll do fine. I recommend this class if you need a science with no labs.

Paul was not my favorite prof. He had good notes, but the lectures were AWFUL! And unfortunately he had BAD body odour. He was obviously afraid of the class as he shouted his lectures at the back wall and stared at the ceiling. I have never heard such a failed attempt at explaining the corioliss effect... and it took him 40 min to not explain it.

This guy is awesome. The class is great. DO NOT buy the textbook! He even tells you not to on the first lecture. It is very expensive and he only tests on the lecture notes. The practice exams are very useful -- do them, trust me! The final exam may be worth 60% but it is very easy!

I had Dr Myers for EAS 212- Oceans. As a prof, he was great..his notes were above and beyond, he held office hours himself (didn't leave us to a TA), posted very helpful review slides, etc. However, the class material is moderately difficult and boring. But he is a genuinley great prof! PS- who cares if he doesnt make eye contact?

Most retarded class to take. Final is worth 60%, and midterms are 20%. Stay away. Prof has trouble looking at you as he teaches.

I love this man. His class is interesting, and the fact that you can tell it's his passion makes the class that much better! I havent seen a prof like this in a long time

this guy is halarious. he stares at the back wall of the room all class, with not once making eye contact with anyone. he is very animated. has pretty good online notes - go to class and just fill them in. don't bother with the text book. the quizes are a sinch. the final requires a lot more thought and prep. you'll have a good laugh every class.

Notes range from great to incomprehensible depending on the lecture. simple midterms, reasonably difficult final. nice guy but holy crap he was awkward. he couldnt make eye contact at any point, he rambled horribly, and he had brutal BO. the fact he rambled so horribly made the lectures that were poorly put together impossible to understand later

Notes are very clear and too the point. Main complaint is that the FINAL is worth 60% of your grade. The Quizzes are easy, but beware of the FINAL! It's hard! You don't need the textbook in the course, the test are purely based on his notes. Just make sure you attend lecture to understand the figures he puts in them.

Good class and professor. Myers is very clear and explains things thoroughly. He is also really helpful and kind. The textbook is not necessary at all if you attend classes. Only complaint is the 70% weighting of the final exam.

I enjoyed this class. His notes and lectures were very clear and straightforward, and the quizzes were fair. The final had some questions on it that seemed to come out of nowhere, but other than that, no complaints.

Very difficult course, but Myers was quite reasonable and ready to help out or customize the course. I'd think he'd be much much better in senior course such as this than teaching 1st and 2nd years. You have to be quite dedicated to the coursework.
