Horrible Professor. His lack of boundaries with students and general disrespect speaks to his character. He would be wise to throttle back a little on his mouth. Especially when it comes to his policial beliefs. This is Economics, not his forum to talk trash about leaders and others that have contributed more than he ever will. Obviously he may have spent a little too much time in Berkeley. As an alpha male type I am not impressed by him as a man or as an educator. He loves to toot his own horn about his academic accomplishments, but fails in so many ways to make a connection or partnership with students. He may do well in a 4 year university teaching 18 year olds. Not a junior college night school teaching mature grown men and women. Perhaps one has to question why he is where he is?

"Tough Grader" "Skip class? You won't pass." "Papers? More like novels"

Run! This teacher is tough, if you don't do what he says you will fail. His "teaching" skills are not the best. I don't feel that it is professional to talk to a student the way he does. He basically says to not email him unless necessary that he doesn't want to be answering questions that are asked by other students. Not caring and class is no fun

I took his 6 week summer class, hardest thing, but I LOVED it! He comes off rough but if you learn to take a joke hes super funny. Me and those who survived bonded. He REALLY WANTS you to learn, he wants you to not just pass but take something away from it. He teaches you how to write a college essay (HARD BUT WORTH IT! START EARLY) Lots of EC

Super cool teacher. Get ready for a reality check if you don't know much about government going in. Extremely helpful and funny. He gives you everything you will need to know about the entire class in the syllabus. Take notes during the lecture, do the homework in his format, and follow the paper rubric exactly and you will get a for sure A.

Gensler is fun and his lectures are educational. His playful language is surprising at first, but if you are not oversensitive, then the class is great. Get the books and do the homework. Take lots of lecture notes, draw the diagrams. You can learn how to write a great paper. Connect with classmates. Participate and it will be fun. Great professor.

He's mean sometimes, but he is very clear when in his lectures. A lot of extra credits opportunities too. Perfect attendance 40 extra points. The online midterms were very easy, and the finals were super easy! just pay attention in class and do your notes, very helpful for your finals! and make sure to follow all the stuffs for the paper.

Such a great Professor. I seriously think he is a genius and think he should run for President. Makes learning easy and the best sense of humor. Political Science is a hard subject but taking it with him makes it all crystal clear. He gives the answers to the final on blackboard the first day and a bunch of extra credit. Highly recommend Gensler.

Like another student said he doesn't deserve the tittle of professor. He does expect you to teach yourself. He says it many time through his syllabus that you shouldnt email him until you have asked your question to other in blackboard or until super necessary. Told student it was not his fault that he made a mistake on a question on test.

Gensler is an amazing teacher! He kept class interesting and fun at all times. His lectures can be difficult to follow along with at times, but his use of humor and sarcasm keep you interested. Not recommended for anyone who is a hardcore procrastinator!

If you plan on taking Microeconomics then you should be aware that another professor would most likely be the better option. While I did enjoy his antics, they should not have been included through the course because it disrupted the learning experience and ability to absorb the material. He doesn't explain the material thoroughly to understand.

The overwhelming majority of the class time was spent teaching fringe conspiracy theories, and there is a tendency to bully challengers. Lots of profanity. The paper is a large component of the course. If you ignore the voice and turn in a paper that closely follows the format rules you will do well. The class was bizarre.

The worst professor I have ever encountered. Does not deserve to be called a professor because he does not TEACH, but rather expects you to teach yourself. Do NOT take him unless you think you can manage to teach yourself economics.

ECON 2 - Macro Taken for Credit: Yes Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Gensler is a good teacher, I learned a lot about economics from him. No point in buying the book though, everything was based on lectures. The tests weren't too difficult but the paper took a lot of time - follow guideline (it's all fine detail). Expect some challenging aspects, this is a college course after all. It wasn't meant to be effortless.

He is amazing and take his class. I've already transferred out of Saddleback and am finishing my B.A. at UCSC. I still think about how much fun I had in his class. He's a G. I miss him and would take another class from him just for fun!!! It was the good. Do it!

ough professor but definitely prepares you for an upper level university course. He's not going to babysit you so you have to be 100% on top of course work. I dropped because I didn't have the time to put in the work/effort needed for the class along with my other 12 credits. Quizzes are easy. I did learn a lot in this class.

Class is more about Gensler and his political views than it is about political science. Be prepared to be bullied, belittled and abused verbally. His teaching technique is unconventional and his profanity does not stop. Lots of class time spent on watching and re-watching Conspiracy Theory movies and stories. He loves to debate but is always right.

Was looking forward to learning about MicroEcon because I loved Macro Econ. I have not learned ANYTHING. The 2 exams (worth 80% of your grade)are all math equations. He just wants to make money off his book that he makes u purchase, but there are SO many errors. Errors are in the equations, which isn't helpful when you're trying to learn them

AWESOME PROFESSOR. He made me understand how the world works. Humor and kind. Time flies so fast every week. ESAY OPEN-BOOK test. Be careful to check the answer. He said he won't remind us the deadline of the paper, let us get 0, but he reminded us every single class. Attendance has extra credit. SO EASY AND I LOVE THIS CLASS..

Do NOT take this class! I received an A or B on every test and a B on the speech but his essay is very unclear and he just looks at the format and thickness and is very unclear on what he wants. If you fail the paper you fail the class. Stay away!!!
