Fantastic professor. His class isn't terribly easy, but I definitely learned a lot. I highly recommend taking his class.

About two hours of homework between every class, also there is an online quiz between every class, and a map quiz in the beginning of each class. Do not take if you're not willing to put in a few hours of work between classes. He is very passionate about what he does, but every class is in a lecture style.

Dr. Heath is a good professor. His class is very easy if you put in any amount of effort at all. The class can get boring at times during his endless lectures, but sometimes the class is interesting. There is a book quiz and a map quiz to take before every class. If you put in a little effort in this class you can easily get a B+ or higher.

Best Teacher I ever had! But I will say he is a tough teacher. His teaching style is inspiring and he loves what he does. He is a Great Mind and any student is lucky to soak up lessons from him.

Doug is a FANTASTIC teacher! I learned so much, and the class was really easy too. On tests, he lets you fix the answers you got wrong (open book!) for 1/2 credit. He also offers a lot of extra credit and is passionate about Geography. He really is educated himself and passes it along. No one should get below a B in this class.

One of the best professors I've had at NCC. I've learned a lot from his class. Very smart and very good teaching methods. One of the few classes I enjoyed going to. You do have to keep up with the homework assignments. I highly rcmd Dr. Heath for geography.

Your A$$ better study before each and every quiz and test! Memorize everything it's the only way. The guy knows his stuff and has interesting stories but he's not easy or lenient really...I got a B so I ain't hatin' Piece batches!

Awful class!!! Exam and quiz questions are complicated with extensive directions. He rambles on and on. Rarely answers questions in a way that's understandable. I did well in the class only because I after busted my butt for the entire semester. If you want to save yourself a daily migraine then don't take this course. So boring!

I saw in previous comments if you did not pass it meant that you were lazy. This isn't true. Some people just aren't meant for his class, in class and online test every class day eventually takes tolls on many if you don't comprehend the material. His tutor was absolutely pointless, she informed me that she "didn't get why i was bad at geography"

Not recommended! Egotistic geography nut would describe him best. Classes are very teacher centered. Daily and nightly map quizzes are a waste of time if you have more important classes. I'll admit that he is a great mind but his use of trick questions on quizzes and tests can get frustrating. He tricks you with wording. Way too time consuming!!

Dr. Heath makes sure you keep your nose in the book as he gives a daily map quiz and you must have completed an online quiz before each class. i was investing way too much time in this class trying, was getting an 'A', but had to drop because it was too demanding. He has a "tutor" who will give you practice quizes, but otherwise not too helpful.

I really enjoyed this class and learned a lot. Do not take this class if you are a slacker and don't want to work. However, if you love current events and are a good student, definitely take this class!

Awesome and very knowledgeable teacher! His world geo class was so interesting and I learned so much. He doesn't ask you to do a crazy hard task but you need to put a little bit of effort and be ready for each class. People who don't like the class or fail either don't care about the subject or are just lazy. I highly recommend him!!

A very knowledgable, very intelligent teacher, who is always willing to help his students out if needed. He's a very nice guy, but can be hard to follow at times. Seems to be quite motivated and passionate about the subjects he teaches.

I just dropped this class. 4 days into it. Why? Because this teacher is an incompetent jerk. I love school & have never had a problem w/ a prof before. He decided to be a complete moron and fight me when I tried to explain I was busy for the next 5 days & didn't have time to do some "tutoring". Don't take this guy if you want an easy class. F for t

Professor Heath is wonderful. He's very nice and eager to help his students learn. Aspects of the class are challenging, but he'll help you through them if you ask. The mandatory field trip was overall a good time, but the report on it afterward is definitely not. To sum it all up, this class is challenging but worth it.
