Never take a class with Mark! He is the worst teacher I have ever had for Biology! no clarity and very little clarification of subject.

Very hard class simply because it is all memorization!! Make sure you take good notes or record the lectures so you can go back to them when studying the objectives for the test! You will spend A LOT of time studying for these classes so be prepared and don't overload on classes when you take these if you expect an A.

A tough class and tough teacher. He expects a lot out of his tests and they are all basically memorization and essay questions. He is a nice guy and definetely makes the subject interesting. My advice is just expect to spend a lot of time studying in his class and take good detailed notes.

This is a hard class, but mainly due to the material. He is a very fair teacher, and loves what he does! I started the class hating biology, and he certainly made it interesting and enjoyable. He is a great guy, and I highly recommend taking his class.

Lots of memorization, which is normal with this subject. Very clear for each test as to what the objectives are.

You take a lot of notes in his class. If you want to get a good grade make sure you study the notes for at least a couple of hours. He is very willing to help you as long as you put in the effort. Very nic guy, learned a lot

Very difficult class. The entire period and much of lab is nothing but note taking and more note taking(your hand will be hurting). No time to comprehend what's being talked about. Very difficult tests and rushed labs. Dropped class after 6 weeks, effort put in wasn't worth C I was getting. Retook class in 4 week Intercession and recieved an A.

Tests, labs, and practicals every week. Given list of at least 2 pages of organisms that need to be memorized for each lab practical, which are ridiculous. Knows his material and gives out page saying what tests will cover, even though there have been times when more material has been on tests. I would definitely keep my options open if you can.

The class is really hard but he knows what he's talking about. He has high expectations & there are lots of tests (but you learn a lot). He's only annoyed with questions if it's clear that you don't pay attention or care.

This instructor is horrible, does not let students ask questions, is rude, condescending, and unclear on material. It seems his tenure is the only thing keeping him teaching. If you want help, he is useless, if you study your brains out you might pull a C on a test. He is a miserable man, who never smiles, seems very unhappy NO PASSION LEFT.

This man is a trip. dont expect to get your questions answered. when you do ask, hes irrated, and then refers you to the prior days notes, and it seems that he cant explain the material without his notes infront of him. be prepared to write fast, he talks fast and wont go over it unless you ask asap. dont take him!

Really nice! Helpful teacher with a good sense of humor! Best science teacher I ever had! Field trips were awsome, we got to wade around in MCC's ponds! Challenging course, but not overly for a science class. Would definitly recommend this teacher!

Mark is a very nice man, but I think his teaching skills in this class less than desiralbe. I know this is a difficult class but his unorganized lectures do not make it any better. When you ask questions he seems a little put out, we are there to learn! He also lacks in explaining labs and then get irritated when we were all asking questions.

Yes the class was hard, but it's a friggin science class! Super nice guy and super helpful, field trips were awesome. Go to class and do your work and you will do fine, it is college after all. Definitely would recommend this class.
