Chem 210
Dr. Coppola is fantastic. I took his section of Chem 210 last fall and, as an incoming freshman, had no idea what to expect. He presented the material clearly and was willing to revisit difficult concepts (especially at the open discussions... go to those!!!). He's teaching sections this fall (Fall 2013) so register for his section if you can.
CHEM 210
Nothing like starting your day with Prof. Coppola at 8AM. He's really a great guy and he tries his hardest to manage a course taken by ~1400 students every fall semester. The evening Q&A sessions are great and even though he won't give you the answers to the exam coursepack it's great that he even takes the time to put one together every semester.
CHEM 210
Dr. Coppola is the best lecturer I have had at UM. He will make you enjoy going to chemistry lecture. While he is very adamant about students doing the Coursepack without his help, he will go out of his way to explain something to you if you ask him--even with all of the students he has. His exams, while challenging, are fair.
Chem 210
I miss having him. At first, I was really scared to take orgo 1, but I ended up doing okay. The class was hard, but manageable. He usually manages the curriculum for both chem 210 and 215. Now that he is gone this semester, orgo 2 has become very disorganized. I wish I could have him again.

He is a very good teacher and teaches you everything that is on the exam- nothing surprising ever popped up. DO THE COURSEPACK!!!
CHEM210
I ended up getting a B+ in this class, but I still enjoyed taking orgo with him. His lectures were pretty clear and although you will struggle with the coursepack, he made me enjoy the subject at the end of the semester when I disliked it at the beginning
Chem210
Dr. Coppola is the best teacher at the University. After taking his class it is clear why he has won award after award. His lectures are the farthest thing from boring because he tells a story instead of reciting facts from the book. This class is naturally hard due to the subject matter. However, there 10+ resources available to get an A.
CHEM210
He is pretty clear in lecture, but once it comes to trying to prepare for the exams, you have no idea how to do this and that. He will refuse to help you with coursepack questions. Exams are very unpredictable. Our third midterm was unreasonably difficult.
chem210
Great professor. He is light years ahead of the other chem 210 professors. His lectures are well-organized and very informative. I would highly, highly recommend him.
orgo1
He is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He never has to stop and look at his notes or to look up a problem. He really knows what he's talking about.
Chem210
Professor Coppola= simply amazing. He is super nice, and I feel like he is approachable with any questions. His lectures FLY by and it's my favorite class this semester. He by no means "easy", but it is Orgo. His lecture was by far the most helpful in comparison to the other teachers. Overall- great.
CHEM210
Professor Coppola is an excellent teacher. He takes a topic that everybody fears, and can make anyone understand it. Everything he teaches, he teaches like a student would think. He is very enthusiastic about chemistry, which makes it way more interesting to learn about. He makes it worth waking up at 8am
CHEM210
I loved Coppola. He was not my actual professor but I would wake up early and go to his 8 am lectures everyday! He is absolutely wonderful!
CHEM210
Amazing professor. Teaches the content very well, and makes sure to tie all the lectures together by reviewing slightly in the beginning of class. It doesn't hurt that he is the one that writes the tests! I hated the coursepack because of the lack of answers, but I got A's on the first 3 tests by doing Nolta's practice tests (google nolta umich)
CHEM210
He explains chemistry in a whole different way. I really enjoyed him, but you can't just use him to get you the grade. Need to attend discussions and do your own practice. He explains CHEMISTRY, not just example problems. I really admire this guy as a teacher and a person. He's also won almost every teaching award there is, FYI.
chem210
Always a day behind the other professors in lecture and content. He does that on purpose too I feel like. If you want to be not behind and up to date on the info before the exam, go to other lectures.
CHEM210
He is clear and explains things well. The class itself is absolutely terrible and so hard but he somehow does a better job than the other professors helping you to understand the material. Very helpful and very nice.
CHEM210
He's good. Notes are clean, and explanations are clear. Very passionate about orgo. Side note, if you are engineering/problem-solving oriented you most likely will not need the book, just go to lecture, do the course pack and perhaps ask someone who's taken the class before if you have questions.
