Go to class, take notes, read the book, and study all the resources on blackboard. For essays, go to her for help and she will tell you exactly what you are doing right and wrong. Have to put in the effort but, an A is very possible! Very nice and caring professor!

One of the more tedious classes you'll take in the business program. Very doable, easy B at the very least. The only pain is that the graders nitpick like hell when they grade the writing assignments. If you're the type that can teach stuff to yourself, you wont even have to come quite honestly. All in all, easy but extremely tedious

She has a pretty impressive resume being an attorney and having worked at a major accounting firm. However, most of her lectures are pretty ambiguous. Don't complicate her test questions- just choose the answer you think a chimpanzee would choose and you'll get an A.

Easy, easy, easy A. So many extra credit opportunities. 3 exams, 5 papers (drops lowest of each), and a few easy-tedious assignments. Great professor, explains boring materials well. Exams were commom sense to me. I made an A on the first exam w/o studying (just attended class), and I'm serious. This class is easy, manageable w/ full load schedule.

Business Law and Ethics was not as horrible as I had thought it would be. However, the class was a bit boring. Just make sure to do the assignments go to class bc clicker questions really helped. The papers were actually easy after you understand what she's asking you to deliver. Overall great professor, no funny business with the grades :-)

Class is very boring, but I guess she cant help that. Grading on papers are a bit picky but going to her and asking her to critque it helps your grade a lot. Dont blow off tests, actually need to know the material. Overall easy class.

Class is mandatory at first. She'll drop you if you don't attend. Test aren't that hard. Writing assignments can be a pain. Total 3 exams and 5 writing assignments. Drops the lowest grade for both. Overall, it's manageable.

Business law, very boring! first few classes mandatory, 4 small 1 page writing assignments, 1 3 page assignment, 3 exams: drops 1 of each. Exams come from book info and online lecture (class doesn't help). Papers are a little hard bc they deal with moral judgements and theories. Best advise is to explain EVERYTHING even if its clear to you.

A few classes at the beginning of the semester are mandatory. She usually takes attendance every class that counts towards a curve at the end of the semester. 5 papers, 1 dropped (1 mandatory). 3 tests, lowest dropped. Fairly easy to get a decent grade since there are dropped papers and test grades.

Ms. Lori is very helpful and nice. The class is not difficult. You do the quizzes and meet the paper's due dates, and it will be fine. Talk to TA how to write the papers and you will get a good grade. They are helpful in explaining how to structure your papers. Tests are easy, can get extra credit and easy A. Recommended!

Undergrad students grading law and ethics papers. Ethical theory has no place in business. Very little law. Too much ethics. Wasted time and money. Feels more like community college than university. I'm glad it's over.

This class was busy the 1st couple weeks then relaxed once presentations started. I still haven't figured out why so many people complain about this class...one of my easier courses this semester. Tests were a bit tricky (made B's), but cases were easy and took maybe an hour to write. However, the big writing assignment requires a lot more time.

This class is not terrible as many ppl say, actually 1 of my easier classes. Do your work and a B is for sure. After 1st case, they become easy b/c you know what's expected. It sucks to have your peers grading your work in a senior level, writing intensive course, but way too many ppl for just a couple TAs. No problems with my grader.

Devastatingly bad prof. In class she reads her own slides and that's it. Asking for help = cheating, totally laughable. Since she doesn't teach you, and no one else can help you, it ends up being an utter and obscene waste of $1k. Writing intensive means professional critique? Course not. An undergrad TA (non-English major) grades you. Awful awful

Her teaching skills are poor. The course tries to do too much & is just a CF.All student "help" is thru a TA & graders that arent much help.Grading of papers is subjective and contradictory;one time they say not developed enough & then say its too wordy after adding 30 words. Not business writing, its intro legal-ese writing . . . useless in business

Lots of work at the beginning of the semester, not so much at the end. Lectures are not helpful and repeat online notes. Professor's online notes and ethics book are mostly tested on the exams. The law book is mainly used just for reference purposes in papers. Group presentation isn't too bad. Easy class if you do everything that is told.

Appears instructor does not want students to pass the class. Very unusual manner of teaching. Not very clear. Graders are extremely subjective. Difficulty in getting help. This Class should be fun and interesting but is not.

There are four case analyses, two exams, one paper, and a group presentation. Professor Whisenant does not lecture well. She does not review for exams. Instructions are never clear. If a review is done, makes it sound as though students are special. Graders grade based on their own ability and understanding of what they believe your grade shou
