Weird but fun guy. GO TO CLASS!!! He makes it super easy. Take this guy over any alternative. If full, get your advisor to add. If that doesn't work, wait to another semester. Look for in mini-sessions too.

Professor Haaga is such a hilarious person. He is super helpful. I took spring mini session for LOGIC I, it's very interesting. 5 tests and he will drop the lowest one. He takes attendance and it's gonna be your bonus. Enjoy this class.

BEST teacher ever. I nearly went to class and just saw the only videos and made A's on all the exams. But when I did go he was very easy to understand and was willing to help you when you needed. He also has great review sessions which tell you everything you need to know for the tests. Easy A if you try. plus there is extra credit

PHIL 1321 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: A+

Haaga is a great professor! He is someone to really look up to. He's extremley patient, friendly, and very intelligent. This course will require you to practice, but he makes the material understandable. There are lots of bonus opportunities and if you go to class, you will enjoy it and do well! Never thought I'd say it, but I'll miss this class.

If you skip, then you most likely won't understand what's going on. You do not have to buy the handbook! He has it all online. His videos are very helpful and he's a funny professor. Definitely recommend him!

Curtis is amazing! extremely helpful..book is packet sold on campus for 12$ or you can print it yourself. Seems boring sometimes but thats because he makes it course so simple, offers extra credit, helpful reviews and tests are like packet work. homework not graded & 10 question quiz each week. if you hate this course Curtis will make you love it!

I totally recommend Professor Haaga! I found the course material interesting and easy but it can be difficult to understand. He is extremely patient when asking him for individual assistance. He explains the material very clearly and lists everything one needs to study for the test. I took the winter mini session.

This class is not a blow off course by any means. The material is challenging so you can not do well in this class if you do not study! However, Mr. Haaga is very easy and forgiving. The only way you can FAIL this class is if you do not apply yourself nor study. He gives extra credit and he holds review sessions for an hour before any exam.

Logic is not an easy subject, it's a skill much like math that builds on itself. There are a lot of rules to remember. Professor Haaga, however, does everything possible to make it simple, clear, and very enjoyable. I really loved this class and I would definitely take another class with him.

Haaga is an amazing professor! Logic is not the easiest course but he really simplifies it and makes it so everyone can understand. He is really passionate about what he teaches and it shows. Attendance isn't mandatory but you need to attend to really understand. He has videos on youtube that help as well. I wish he taught more courses that I need!

Pay attention to the previous comments. Most are positive. If you don't get something he gives plenty of opportunities to ask and poor grades are only the result of the student not trying. He is a great professor and sadly he isn't teaching Logic 2 next semester other wise I would have taken it even though Logic has nothing to do with my degree.

Prof Haaga is an amazing professor. Although the course work is fairly hard, he provides extra outlets to improve your knowledge on the material, such as YouTube vids, online practices, tutoring session. i feel that if you fail this class it will be out of you not trying. if you study and try you will pass. He's one of the best professor at UH.

Logic II Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

I took Haaga last semester and I totally bombed my first test and thought I was going to do horribly on the rest of the class yet I walked away with an A. He is honestly the best professor I have ever had, he takes time to help you out personally and really cares about all of his students. UH needs more professors like him.

My favorite class this semester! Awesome professor who teaches EXTREMELY CLEARLY. I received an A in the class and the material takes patience to understand. Master all the problems & concepts in the logic book for whatever unit you're studying & you'll be set. Helpful for students planning to take the LSAT. We need more professors like him at UH.

I LOVED his class. Logic came really easy to me thanks to his great teaching. Lots of practice and help is available if you need it, and extra credit is also offered. His logic class is definitely the best option for a philosophy course credit at U of H. I also found him very funny and his tangents were interesting. TAKE HIM!

Professor Haaga is by far one of the best professors the University of Houston has to offer. He truly cares for his students understanding Logic and gives you a TON of examples to do exceptionally well with an abstract subject. Work through the workbook and exercises online. If you do, you'll do great and enjoy it while you're at it.

He is amazing. His teaching style is clear as crystal and he goes over things a million times until everyone understands. There is extra credit for coming to class and bonus problems that you get ahead of time. He offers plenty of tutorials, I just never needed them. TAKE HIM. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

He makes this class a lot of fun. He's very clear and precise, and has enough resources for you to really ace the class. He has a quiz every week except test weeks, but those quizzes are easy and if you just do the practice, you'll be fine. Really enjoyed his class.
