Very knowledgeable, but that's not enough. Took a summer course with him and he would give you 4 days to write a 12 page paper. One paper I got back only had comments on trivial things: format, citations, spacing, without a single comment regarding content. Judges you based on first paper, and assumes you have lots of time. Do not take him.

Risk Analysis and Assessment a lot of papers to write but if you do the extra credit you can get an A. Writing intensive professor and class. He helps improve your writing with comments.

Attendance is extra credit. Read the chapters every night, it will help you with his lectures. Lectures are loosely based off the book. His reviews for the tests suck. It's done in a rush because some of the stuff he types are repeated more than once, and they make no sense like "Which of the following is true?" and that's it. He's moody as well.

Read ahead in the textbook before attending class (it's easier to follow). Tests are around 70 MC ?s and the study guides posted on Blackboard indicate everything that will be on the exam. Attendance is extra credit. Overall, it's not a bad course. I managed to get a B+ but could have done better if I didn't slack off at the start of the semester.

This class is probably very interesting to those who enjoy political science. I however only needed the class as a requirement to graduate. I did not find the book interesting but the lectures were at least humorous. The tests were more difficult than needed to be and overall the class did not do to well.

I took his class in Summer. Like others said, his class is kinda boring. But if you enjoy learning politic, this is for you. We have the current events discussion at the beginning of the class. Tests are easy as long as you read the textbook and newspaper, you could at least pass. Extra credit for attendance. No assignment.

I took the hybrid class.Attendance is extra credit so GO TO CLASS.Lectures are boring. He gives around 10 quizzes&they are really easy just read the assigned chapter&most chapters are around 30pgs.The night before the test he releases the review. The test is mostly the bold words in the textbook. The last ten questions of the test are current events.

Dr. Vardy is a wonderful professor if you are willing to do work outside of class. IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING, YOU SHUOLD SEARCH FOR A CAREER THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE HIGHER EDUCATION. He is helpful, if you ask. His lectures do not cover all of the material on tests, but it makes it an incentive to read the textbook.

Not a very student friendly teacher. He is late to class every single day, even on exam days (including final). He constantly talks about sexual things and has no idea how to organize lectures (or use a computer). Lectures do not follow the book and he only posts study guides 24 hours before exams & study guides are horrible to follow/understand!

IF YOU SHOW UP TO CLASS AND DEVOTE TIME TO THE PAPERS YOU CAN GET AN A. DO NOT SIGN UP AND SKIP CLASS OR MESS AROUND! TURN STUFF IN EARLY AND YOU CAN GET AN A IF YOU ARE WILLING TO WORK, EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT A GENIUS.
