She made the subject fun and was not afraid to be weird and different than all the other professors. she sang to us in class about all the different math rules and properties. I highly recommend this teacher. She cares and is very sweet

Best professor I ever had. She really cares that you understand. Math is not my favorite subject. She gives you ample help and chances to earn points. Attendance is mandatory but as long as you show up and try she will work with you. I wish she was teaching Calculus next semester!

Barbara Aaker is not one of those so-called teachers who feel you don't belong in a class if you aren't a natural prodigy. She actually TEACHES. She will spend a lot of time trying to help answer questions and make sure you understand the material. I wish there were more like her.

I finally passed college algebra with Barbara Aaker. I've had terrible math teachers in the past. She really made math understandable for me. I felt she cared whether or not I understood the concepts. Ms. Aaker went above and beyond; yes, her math "raps" were corny; but kudos for her for trying to make math "fun.' I believe she has retired.

For someone who despises mathematics, this professor is incredible. She does her best to make every class as enjoyable as possible, and always has a smile on her face. If you need help, she'll provide it. Minimal homework, although she assigns practice problems that arent to be turned in so it's your responsibility to cover the material for tests
