i've taken most of my classes at eastern with bitty. he's sort of dry, but in the funniest and most interesting of ways. all the english majors adore him. his classes are a bit on the easy side, as long as you love analyzing every bit of literature.

sometimes I think that people with too much of an interest in analyzing poetry are too 'out-of-this-world' for me, or maybe just have their heads too high in the clouds. This guy isn't. I won't take another class w/him tho. Just too much poetry for me.

I enjoyed western civ a lot. We read some interesting books that I thought were relevant. Bittenbender got excited about some things only a true lit geek would and it was kind of cute. He's really intelligent. I'd take a class from him again.

he's really passionate about what he teaches which makes it easy to learn from him. he's very understanding and helpful.
