ECON320
He may be a knowledgeable professor but when it comes to personality he can be cold and unwilling to spend time outside of class reiterating material. Not recommended for students who enjoy getting to know their professors.

Keeps lectures interesting. Writes everything you need to know on the board. Exams are very hard but he grades very easily
ECON320
Best professor ever! Need to attend class to get an A, but don't worry he will keep you interested. Grade is based on three exams. Tests aren't really difficult because you get most of the points for just understanding what the question is asking. If you want the highest grades on the exam be sure to read every question thoroughly :) .

He is a great professor. To get an A, you have to really study and understand the concepts. I worked really hard and studied countless hours to receive an A in the class. Attend every class, take good notes, and study them well. When he tells you he's "letting you out of class early to study", take his advice if you want an A.
ECON320
This professor was chill. No cell phones or laptops during class. He writes everything on the board and uses the textbook. He has a great sense of humor and funny at times. He gives handouts and reviews for each exam.

great professor! his exams are a bit tricky...I was never able to understand some of the questions being asked on the exam as there were possibilities for more than one answer. but over all great professor...would take again.

Prof. Fleissig is a very interesting professor. He is helpful and tries as much as possible to make the class fun. I like his sense of humor which can be strange at times. Exams are written, and you HAVE to explain your answers and apply theories learned in class. I worked my butt off and ended up with an A. He is fair, I would take him again!
ECON320
No laptops and cellphones! He does it the old-school way. Board and a writing tool. Take really good notes, ask questions. The notes you take have to be thorough and well-written to memorize and study/grasp the concepts for his written tests. Word answers. Great teacher, as others have said you may not fall in love with it, but it's a dry class.
ECON320
A great professor. He is very thorough in his explanations, and his enthusiasm and occasional doses of humor make the class great. If you don't like econ, he won't make you like it, but you might learn something- and if you do like econ, you'll find a great professor who will teach you a lot.

He is hilarious, however, if you're like me, and SUCK at Econ, you will struggle with him. Went to every class, did all the in class assignments, and got a D. Tests are way harder than the in class assignments. Some people got 98% on the tests, but if you're bad at Econ, good luck.

I took this class during the summer so it was a faster pace. This was the second time i took the class and got a B. Professor Fleissig has a funny sense of humor, I think his british accent makes his jokes funnier. Make sure to do all the homework given out in class because it is very similar to the test. Do not need to buy book.
Econ320
Difficult exams, you must really understand the concepts he explains when he lectures. Skip the lectures at your own peril. The homework he assigns is actually very helpful to understanding the material; sort of like a take home quiz.

This Professor is Great! all his notes are written on the board but it is so much better because it makes you really learn instead of just looking at the powerpoint. His Tests are also not bad as long as you try out the questions, he will give you partial points.
ECON320
Fleissig is an awesome Econ teacher. DON'T buy the book, he writes all important info out on the board, which really helps. Tests are essay style but he is somewhat lenient on grading. He has a quirky, dry sense of humor and is rather odd but don't let that deter you. He teaches in an easily digestable manner, take his class if you want to learn!
ECON320
Easy class. This is an Intermediate macroeconomics class. Pay attention in class, take notes, ask questions, and you'll come out with an A. Book is helpful b/c teacher follows textbook structure. Not necessary, but recommended to supplement, if you want that A of course. Overall, good economics teacher from experience.
ECON320
Note are awesome. Don't waste your money on the book. Class is kind of boring, but you will learn a lot if you pay attention and copy the stuff he writes on the blackboard. Syllibus seems intimidating at first, but it is really not that bad.
ECON320
Good teacher. Rarely used the book, so it was pointless to buy. Class consisted mainly of lecturing and note taking. Exams are challenging but he was lenient with grading. 40% Mid term, 50% Final Exam and 10% Homework is what the grade structure was. Very knowledgeable and overall great professor. Recommended!
ECON320
His class is fun and time flies by fast. Professor's notes are very clear. Sometimes he will tell historic stories of Economists that will have you laughing hysterically. Be warned that his exams are heavy duty - midterm & final! Exams are challenging, several levels higher than what is on the notes.
ECON320
Excellent Professor, one of CSUF's best. His notes are very extensive making the book an optional read. He is always willing to answer questions and is VERY knowledgeable; also very funny. He does have kind of a hard-on for Keynes lol.
