CSCE155N
If you really want to learn the subject, take Chuck's class, however it is not easy. Probably the most intensive course I've ever taken, one should expect to devote a LOT of time to a course he is teaching.

Pretty much awful. Gave outrageous assignments and was a poor lecturer. Didn't learn a thing from him. Was useful to talk with him one on one.

Dr Riedesel is an awesome professor. I have prior programming experience, hence why I chose a computer science major so the coding aspect wasn't terribly hard for me, however Dr Riedesel always made class enjoyable and always did a great job explaining materials. Furthermore, he has a seemingly endless funny riddles and puns.

Terribly hard class. If you want to go spend 5 hours in the computer lab and get nothing done because nobody in the class understands the information, then it would be good for you...haha
CSCE150E
Terrible organization. Spent the first two weeks going over the syllabus, and didn't update the webpage till about 2 months into class. Lecture's have no structure, he just spends the whole time demonstrating random programs he has made, then the assignments and exams expect you to know things you haven't been taught. GPA killer, avoid if possible.
CSCE230
230 is hard and almost impossible to understand by itself. Chuck does go off on a few tangents and his tests and homework assignments are impossible. The most important this is put in the effort. Chuck grades people on a personal level. He is a fun teacher and my classmates and I miss him now that we are in upper level classes.
CSCE230
This guy is either a genius or a madman. I really loved CSE230 but whimps need not apply. The homeworks were challenging but fun and the tests were impossibly hard. The key is: don't panic!
