CSCE 155N Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

I had no programming experience coming into this. You will learn almost nothing in lecture but that't the class not the professor. Riedesel's major advantage is that he is incredibly helpful and available at all hours it seems. If you have to take this class take it with him. It's not gonna be fun, but he's your best option.

CSCE155N Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

If you really want to learn the subject, take Chuck's class, however it is not easy. Probably the most intensive course I've ever taken, one should expect to devote a LOT of time to a course he is teaching.

csce150 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Pretty much awful. Gave outrageous assignments and was a poor lecturer. Didn't learn a thing from him. Was useful to talk with him one on one.

CSCE150A Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

Dr Riedesel is an awesome professor. I have prior programming experience, hence why I chose a computer science major so the coding aspect wasn't terribly hard for me, however Dr Riedesel always made class enjoyable and always did a great job explaining materials. Furthermore, he has a seemingly endless funny riddles and puns.

CSCE150 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Terribly hard class. If you want to go spend 5 hours in the computer lab and get nothing done because nobody in the class understands the information, then it would be good for you...haha

CSCE150E Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Terrible organization. Spent the first two weeks going over the syllabus, and didn't update the webpage till about 2 months into class. Lecture's have no structure, he just spends the whole time demonstrating random programs he has made, then the assignments and exams expect you to know things you haven't been taught. GPA killer, avoid if possible.

CSCE230 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

230 is hard and almost impossible to understand by itself. Chuck does go off on a few tangents and his tests and homework assignments are impossible. The most important this is put in the effort. Chuck grades people on a personal level. He is a fun teacher and my classmates and I miss him now that we are in upper level classes.

Should not be teaching a course. Completely unorganized. Miserable course.

This guy is either a genius or a madman. I really loved CSE230 but whimps need not apply. The homeworks were challenging but fun and the tests were impossibly hard. The key is: don't panic!
