Jeremy relies on making his exams time-pressured to lower the curve. It's a cheap trick, but it works. All your learning will be through the difficult assignments he throws at you. As an alumni looking back, Jeremy needs a bit more life experience and maturity. He has never left the U of A in his engineering career, and unfortunately, it shows.

Excellent prof & class. Clearly cares about his students. Takes time to review exams with students individually. Would recommend.

Great prof. Always available outside of class. Gave personalized feedback after each test, too. Problem sets were not to be handed in, which made it easy to fall behind. Make sure to do them!

Great prof. Do the problem sets, they provide great insight into how to approach problems for exams - they're designed with "tricks" that make it easier if you've done the problem sets. Some people complain about the amt of theory covered, but I found most of it was relevant to the "application" anyways.

Very good prof. Yes, expectations are somewhat high for the average student but if you pay attention and do your problem sets, you'll do well. Don't be thrown off by all the Sit-fear that seems to percolate the department.

Do not take his class if you want to learn something practical.

I took his ECE303 last fall term. He is the most unfair prof. in entire of ECE department. He is just arrogant prof. I have ever seen.

Avoid this professor unless you like to learn things deep. A difficult person, always surprises in the midterms which are super hard, finals are even worse. Only 3.0 GPA and above students can survive, all else suffer. He should understand what "Engineers" really want for the real world instead of pushing theory down their throats.

Too much material covered, exams are super hard, he is nice to talk to but that's useless when it comes to assessment. He's clear when he speaks in class and material is quite clear, but is a total unfair professor when it comes to testing and marking. No part marks, no sympathy. I think he feels he's a super genius in his own little world.

Most difficult prof in the University, teaches theory and analysis without practical examples. Expects too much from his students, feels like a PhD. level course. Very unfair course material and unfair marker (terrible marker).

I had no interest in analog circuit after taking 340. But this guy made 350 interesting. Class attendance is mandatory. The class is not that hard if just invest some time, and not just 1-2 days before midterms. Study class notes inside and out do the assignments before hand and you should be good to go.

Sit has a good teaching style, with a strong perspective of what it's like to be taking his class. His tests are very hard though.

He is by far my favorite prof in Engineering to date. His exams are long but fair. He cleverly designs the exams so that if you know what you are doing, you finish but if you struggle you can't finish. He is incredibly helpful outside of class and his notes are extremely clear.

Course was interesting, and the notes were excellent. Well organized, on top of things, fair exam, though you'll need to know a lot. One of the best profs I've encountered in 5 years here.

Unique whiteboard + PowerPoint lecture style and novel stance on assignments reinforce his high calibre teaching. Exams are long but fair. You will really know your stuff by the time he is through with you.

He expects too much from his students and makes the exams hard enough to not be fair. Even though he is so demanding, his teaching is sub-par.

Jeremy Sit is amazing. He understands what it's like to be a student and makes the material easy to learn. His tests are hard, but fair. If you know the material, you'll ace the test, if you don't, you won't do so hot. Usually have low averages, but he pushes them up. See him in his office ASAP as he will help you get the grade you want.

No one cares more about his students and seeing them succeed than Jeremy Sit. He makes it easy to learn the same material that other Profs make excessively difficult. It's probably because Jeremy still remembers what it's like to be a student, given that he is like 16 years old.
