ContemporaryArt Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Bonnie ran art history differently. She encouraged discussion and student input, unlike previous professors I had who operated on a "sit down, shut up" basis. She really involves the students in this course, and it's a relatively easy AH300 credit. She is easily approachable for help with assignments. Oh, also, there were no tests in this class.

She seems a bit mentally scattered. And I wish she hadn't kept the lights off during lectures. It's easy to get sleepy. She's not real animated. Not terrible, though.

I'm not a fine arts student, but I think Bonnie is an awesome teacher - insightful, empathetic to students (though that doesn't mean she is always sympathetic), engaged, made the subject come to life, and she's really delightful. (The hot rating is my guess as to how she must have been when she was younger.)

AH111 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Bonnie may not be the easiest professor, but I guarantee you will learn a lot from her. I'm not a fine arts major, but I still got an A. If you take art history with her just take plenty of notes and always attend class. If you do that, you will be fine. Attention to detail is crutial with her, too.

Prof Hayes practically gives the answers to you. Her exams are easy enough (even if you don't study) - all you have to do is pay attention in class (How hard can that be?). She's knowledgeable about each painitng, but not much beyond that (for example, the author and current events in the artwork). Overall, I enjoyed the class. I'm now an AH Minor.

Bonnie's not a bad teacher. She knows her stuff and if you have questions about it she'll help you out. And yeah, people get in trouble and get tested on stuff that they slept through in class. so duh, don't sleep in class! gosh!

She is the reason I don't like art history anymore. I don't mind that it is difficult and you have to study a lot. But she is emotionless, unenthusiastic, boring as hell, and cold. She takes the humanity away from the history.

AH300 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Bonnie tends to talk down to students. When some people were doing their final presentations, she interrupted them and demanded to know the relevance of what they were discussing. She acts nice outside of class and when she's not teaching, but it's hard to tell if it's real or not.

This class is very challenging and there is a lot of memorization involved however she reviews before each exam and if you study you will be fine. Also, she does not expect you to memorize exact dates, she will give you credit if you're within 20 years. Overall the course was very interesting.

She's the first prof I've ever had to actually make me lose enthusiam for a subject. She does not concentrate on the important aspects of art history, but rather requires extensive memorization that is not beneficial to anyone interested in understanding art for art's sake

Okay first off this chick needs to slow down. Secondly get off your extremely dull monotone voice. If you are looking for a class to sleep through this is it. She makes you read 20pgs a night and its the same things she goes over in class. Oh BORING!! (Get more enthusiastic!)

AH111 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: N/A Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

It is overwhelming at first: you have to know a ton of paintings, the dates, places, history, artist, and then describe the art. Study a lot and you will do well; don't slack on the dates and details. The class time is boring and you will take 3-5 pages of notes each day, but it is interesting.
