Ray Smith is a great guy. "Am I making sense to you people?" It's a shame he is retiring. Great professor.

Ray Smith. Well I'll start of saying he's a very nice guy and is very well organized. His tests are fairly easy if you attend class regularly. He usually gives the answers actually. His favorite words and sayings are "obviously, above everything else, most definitely, and Am I making sense to you people!!!!" Good Guy

Ray Smith is a very nice guy, but i did not like his class at all. His tests are HARD he likes trick questions, which isn't very fair. You will have to read the chapters and make sure you can write fast!!! he never does anything visual its all just him talking and you take notes. i was pretty bored.

OMG!!! You HAVE to read every single chapter in the text on time (long chapters!) because we have a quiz on every chapter! He wants us to memorize every little detail in history. He doesn't prepare anything visual, just him speaking non-stop. He is a nice person though, he likes to joke with the class a lot.

Mr. Smith is hands down the best teacher I have ever had! If you go to class daily and actually pay attention in class then you will do great! His lectures are very powerful and interesting. Raymond you are amazing!!!

Good Professor, but lectures are very boring. He jokes around with students here and there and is quite friendly. He'll go over everything on a quiz or a test.

Extreemly easy, talk to him a little after class and he will love you! Go to class, take good notes, and your guaranteed a good grade!

He talks a lot and sometimes drifts off topic, but overall he's a very good professor and he's pretty easy to pass.

he is such a good teacher!! he's taught me so much that i didn't know about history. and he is so nice! he will help you if you don't understand something. he is fair on tests and will even give you credit if you think it was an unfair question. he talks really fast and be ready to take a lot of notes. you don't need the book, but it's nice to have

Mr. Smith knows a ton about history and is a nice person but he doesn't test from lecture; he chooses the most obscure facts possible; and he cannot accept feedback. His tests are unclear and disconnected; I would never recommend his class.

He's nice and has a lot to say about history. His test are hard to understand. Sometimes what you are studying for isn't really there on the test. Which makes you more confuse. He does tell you that he appreciate you taking his class.
History
He's very nice and very helpful - he'll give the shirt on his back to make sure you pass the class. He values and appreciates student input. So basically he rox!
