Loved the class. She grades on the effort you put into your pieces. Would recommend to someone who enjoys art classes and is willing to work hard. Not an easy A.

I enjoyed it because I love clay and had prior experience with it. However, she does grade seriously so don't take if looking for an easy fine arts credit. Also would have to agree she is not a good wheel thrower at all, but asking other students for help will never let you down.

takes A LOT of time outside of class in order to keep a decent grade - would only take this class if you are an art major otherwise take something else to get the fine arts credit out of the way

she is not very thorough. she is all over the place. doesnt really let us get creative. the projects are uninteresting and not creative. more about sculpture than ceramics. doesnt go into any other materials besides clay.

do not take this class for fun unless you're an art major and want to do SCULPTURE.doesn't "like wheel work" so you'll have to learn the fun stuff on your own. VERY critical/poor social skills. biggest mistake to take this class. BEWARE!

I thought this class would be a good learning experience, but I don't think the direction was good, and she was not clear on assignment objectives. Impossible to get an A unless you're an art major, no matter how much harder you're working. Definitely would NOT recommend.

She's a good teacher. She tries to help you to understand exactly what you are doing without changing your project completely from what you want to do. She wants to help you make better art, but she is not too demanding.
