HONS 124 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

If you're ready for harsh criticism that leaves you in mid-tears.. make sure you take this class! Be forewarned, she may have full blown discussions that take up the whole hour and 15 mins explaining how many terrible writers exist in her class. Instead of actually trying to help you, she may just drown you in her "critical thinking" pool of death.

She is awful. She told our class that "college isn't for some of you and maybe some of you should consider dropping out and taking a year off." She also directly told my friend and I that there is nothing wrong with becoming a barista. She doesn't help at all and is so old and forgetful. Don't expect to get an A unless you are a professional writer

HON124 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Possibly the BEST teacher I've encountered. She is so passionate about what she teaches. I was concerned when I realized the grades were just based on participation, two papers and a presentation, but if you go to her office hours and ask for help, she'll lead you towards getting an A. She's an amazing woman. Everyone should take a class of hers.

Really passionate about subject and will teach you to analyze the heck out of the books.Going to talk with her is really nice and interesting.Usually you have to read a book a week(varies from 200-300pgs,youre lucky if only 100pg or intro) and hard grader on papers but office hours will help along with great feedback.Only hw is reading and 2 papers

Dr. Cirillo is a fantastic educator. Her passion on the subjects she teachers (Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, Australian Founding, etc) is very clear as she is extremely enthusiastic in her lectures. Prepare to work hard in this class and spend many hours on your coursework. Graded homework doesn't exist, but large papers do!

Coolest prof I've ever had... a true intellectual who a lot of us students loved having discussions with. Rate her A+ (Class of '73)

She is a good professor and passionate about what she teaches, which is great. But, she is a very hard grader and has her own system of grading. Going in for office hours will help but will not guarantee an A...

Very helpful, and genuinely cares for students. Sadly, most student don't care enough to listen to what she says. Show interest and see her during office hours and I think u get an A! (at least im hoping for one). But i honestly learned a lot in her class; just pay attention!

How to get an A in her class: 1. Agree with everything she says. Any ideas conflicting with her own will automatically ruin your chances of an A, or 2. become some sort of specialist. Be the religious person or the economist. Be the Greek or Biblical allusion person. Remember, anything else and you will not have any chance of getting the A.

She was an adequate professor. Her enthusiasm about the material made lectures okay, but I felt she was a hard grader and not very approachable.
