BIO 213
Does she even still teach at GMU? Granted, she should have left God out of evolution but she is (was) a great professor. Great info presentation, did a study group EVERY week and on weekends before tests, gave extra credit. A lot of material but those who say she didn't teach well were lazy and didn't do their part.

not a fan of crocker, didnt care for her exams. I just didnt think her exams were compatible with her notes. Would go to her for help and she would tell me what to study and focus on and what not to and then what she told me not to focus on would be on the exam. Just not a big fan. Not unhappy she is gone!

This prof is great..Her workbook really helped me stay organized and her quizzes were easy A's. The only way you will get a C or lower is if you are not trying.. All you gotta do in her class is study for the vocab quizzes and do the worksheets and you are ready for the test..

Don't listen to lazy ppl, the only way u will fail is if you don't come to class. She is very easy! She gives you ALL the answers for the tests, she has review sessions where she gives you the answers to the tests AGAIN, except in more detail, and she offers EXTRA credit unlike any other bio teacher I've had at mason.

Completly crazy, she plays favorites like no other professor I've ever had. She would go through a chapter a day and after each chapters a worksheet. Shes not very clear her "workbook" (which is just her lecture slides) is completly useless and she's out to make everyone fail. If you have to take her prepare to study and work 4+ hours a night.

Dr. Crocker is the best science teacher I have ever had. True, there are vocab quizzes just about every week, but she gives out word lists ahead of time. She assigns worksheets which are very helpful in learning and, if you go to her study sessions, she is happy to help.

Dr. Crocker=weird. This class sucked mostly because of the quizzes and the paper, but she told me that she was thinking about not including a paper in future semesters..who knows. Tests were sort of way detailed, but the main thing again were those annoying quizzes. She responds quickly to email tho

She is a **** plain and simple. Her exams have nothing to do with the class and she grades worksheets on the basis of being correct. She failed half of her class and shows favoritism. Only good thing is she is now on review. Dont take her!

Her lectures and slides were extremely comprehensive...that would have been great if they were even remotely related to the tests! At least she gives you the final essays ahead of time so you can prepare (and you better!) She is a better lab instructer than lecture professor

very hard, but easy to learn in her class because she gives you notes, you just have to follow them in lecture and study.

Class is challenging but not that difficult. Considering all of the extra credit available and the opportunity to drop one test, any reasonably adept student can get an A. This course takes less prep time than gen chem or physics. Remember, don't underestimate the Bio 213 lab!

never say you believe in evolution or you will fail no matter what you get on tests. all she has to do is fail you on the essay parts even if your an honors english major.

Ah, cell bio. Well, let's see: I read 5 chapters out of the book, BUT I went to the review sessions, e-mailed her for help, and had her a lab instructor. I got a B in the class. SO! There is hope for you my young ones. Don't give up on Doc Crock.

Bio 213 is a weed out class meaning its supposed to separate all the kids whose parents want them to b doctors and those who are actually interested. Overall her class is difficult but not impossible just read the material, seriously all these people who are complaining dont read. She gives few e.c.

Not as bad as everyone says. I hardly ever came to class, skimmed the book, and even bombed a test and still came out with an A-. Do all the worksheets and extra credit, and take her for lab so she'll be merciful in lecture.

The class does require lot of time. If you have ambition to learn you will do well. Go to her pre-exam study group, read ahead, browse through the CD that came with the book, go to class. Organize/prepare! That is how I earned my A+ and you can too. Don't be discouraged by the negative comments.

I should have just listened to my friends and not taken this teacher. Exams are hard as hell and totally not related to the other tons of work in class .. hated the research paper. Got a C- so gotta retake.. beware she is nice though.
