ACCT 831 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: A

Pr. O is knowledgeable, organized, helpful and caring. He really takes the time to explain all the concepts and is helpful during office hours. Midterm/final are hard so study the "hints" he gives you really well. Can't imagine taking this summer class with anyone else but him! Overall, a very positive experience!

His final is supper hard. He fails many students. Those questions are as hard as the problems in the textbook. you have to study hard and practice many times as you can. Or, you will fail his class. He is a joke. He just reads the powerpoint to you, but the midterms and the final are very difficult. He just wants to drive you out of the Accounting.

His final exam failed most of the class. Take this class at your own risk.

I honestly did not enjoy his class. I felt that he didn't want to give us a clear picture of what to focus on. His tests had several overly obscure questions which although I generally understood, seemed unreasonable when exams consist of 10 MC Qs. Maybe he just depressed me and I'm nitpicking. He didn't make me excited about accounting or life.

Only had him for the last couple weeks of class due to our teacher leaving. However, I learned more in the last couple of weeks than I did throughout the whole semester!

This guy knows his stuff and he explains it all very well! Textbook was a bit pricey, but definitely useful. GO TO CLASS AND TAKE NOTES so that you can understand whats going on, because the test and hw are a kind of tricky. Class is a bit dry, but it's an accounting class, so don't expect it to be too exciting. Overall great teacher!

Tough course, great teacher. Explains material very clearly + will help you at office hours. Big+expensive textbook and the reading is mandatory unless you already are familiar w/ accounting standards. Homework not graded, but it helps on tests. Tests are difficult (because the subject is), but they are all multiple choice and he curves generously.

Weekly hw but grades easy on them. curves the exam, gives extra credit for exam. His hints to the exams are extremely useful.Make good use of it. hours of study n read the chapter prior the lecture, and study the book for final

2 exams, final, and presentation. he gave lots of extra credits. I wouldn't say very easy. Some questions are not from the book. If you pay attention in the class, you'll be fine.

3 Tests, HW (optional) , one EC. He really knows his subject and has a good sense of humor. Professor O tries hard to make difficult concepts easier. However, Professor O's standards are high and accounting is tough, so be prepared to work really hard for your grade unless you remember everything from all your other accounting classes.

This is the 3rd accounting class I've taken with this professor. He's dry. It's not easy to stay awake in his class, but he is the nicest, more caring professor at SFSU. This was the hardest of his 3 classes that I took (100, 301, 551). The tests are pretty hard and the homework was sometimes tough, but I'd reccomend this class.

His lectures are very informative but it's rather boring. He uses mainly powerpoint slides to lecture. The Exams are MC with some short essay questions. Overall, just do well on his first exam when he provides the most hints and you should do fine.

this class was tough to me but manageable. class consisted of weekly homework, 1 essay, 2 midterms, and 1 final. you have to put in a lot of studying for an A in this class. but the prof is nice and helpful if you come talk to him during his office hours.
