Fun teacher. Interesting but class could be slow. Reading is hard if your not interested. Tests cover everything from class so if you go you are set.

Coolest guy ever! Lots to read, but he goes over important stuff in class. Tests are super easy, and he truly wants his students to succeed. Very thought provoking. The only teacher I had who turned in his order list for books so we got maximum amount back when we sold our books at the end of the semester. What a dude!

He rocks. Probably the best professor in the department. Passionate, funny, down-to-earth, and knows his stuff. Second class I've taken with him, and will taking another next semester. If you haven't taken him or have been in a rut with philosophy (or life in general!), TAKE HIM! He's worth every minute! A++++

dude is excelent i am about as bad as it gets in phiosophy but some how or another i passed. I credit him easily the best teacher i have had get him at all costs

Jim, by far, has been the only teacher that actually makes me WANT to think... His lectures are truly inspiring and leave you wanting more. The books he chooses are not always an easy read, but he guides you through it all. I'm in love with his class and his teaching!! TAKE HIM. Tests are easy!
PHIL 220
One of the best teachers I've had at SSU, very clear and understanding - very good attitude towards his students while still fostering an environment that makes it easy to learn the materials and get something out of the class. His grading policy is not easy, but not hard. You have to earn your grades but you'll have fun doing it.

Hes the man, makes you take an active roll in class, uses his intellect and dry humor to make topics more enjoyable...take intro to philosophy with him if you can!

Awesome professor! He makes the material interesting and engages his students. Brings things into a current a clear perpective. He's passionate about what he teaches and offers a creative edge for the papers he requires. Go to class and you will be fine...and they're worth it!
PHIL 200
One of the best professors I've had at this school. His perspective on the reading makes it understandable, even though a lot of the text is difficult to grasp by itself. His writing assignments are good and challenging in an interesting way, although I did not like the test he gave us on Plato.
Phil 101
Prof. Behuniak makes phil 101 a great class to be in. He's funny and uses great mondern day examples to represent the material. This class is a read do your homework and you'll do great kind of class. and also as long as you show up you'll ace the class. Highly recommended teacher!
