PH121 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

He has a lot of little assignments that if slip by can damage your grade. Overall he is an excellent teacher. He will pound into your head every single concept and make it so you won't forget. That is what I really enjoyed, he stays after class to help you and attends to your questions. He explains things very well. If you want to learn take him!

PH314 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: B+

As a physics major I can say he is the worst teacher in the department. His teaching style and tests are archaic and do not help you learn. He requires multiple reports on useless topics and essays on tests to make them hard. His class is detrimental to my useful studies due to the huge time commitment required. Do not take!! You have been warned.

If you want to pass his class, sit on the front row. He is a nice guy, and really passionate about Science. His tests are not too bad.

Bro. Tonks is a super nice guy. He's passionate about what he's teaching and knows a ton about it as well. He knows everyone's name in all of his classes and wants you to succeed. Those who say his class is too hard will probably struggle with college as a whole because although it requires you to do a little work, it's really not THAT difficult

PH105 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

He basically expects you to read the book and understand everything. He'll take half an hour in class going through one problem and realize he did something wrong and have to start over. A little frustrating. His exams were pretty hard, you'd think understanding the HW would help but it's not similar to HW problems.

He may get off topic a bit to answer questions but makes the student understand science in a new way. He is an over all very good teacher, sure a bit goofy, but aren't we all? He really does love what he teaches and does a great job at it.

Brother Tonks is very awkward and tries to be funny when he is not. He is not very good at explaining the work and you honestly get the most out of your homework, it's pointless going to class. Don't ever want to have him again.

PH105 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

I don't think Bro Tonks is a good teacher. He speeds through material so fast that it's hard to grasp exactly where your question is to ask it. He tries to be funny and fails miserably. He sometimes wastes class time that could be used to answer questions. Nice guy, but bad teacher.

PHPH Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

I learned tons from him. He's tough but fair. If you can't handle his classes, you probably can't handle college as a whole. I'm surprised at all the negative comments, I've taken 3 classes from him since 121, enjoyed each of them and always felt like I was respected.
