Poli Sci 1
Nice person, but talks a lot about current events, and leaves the lecture until the last couple of minutes of class. His exams are out of the book, but attendance is mandatory in his class, so you must attend. Overall, I wouldn't recommend taking him if you're a poli sci major.

Loved the class material and enjoyed reading the book. However, Dr. Douglas is a bit of a drag as a professor. He does not provide study guides for the test which means you must study the book VERY well. Not a lot of class work, and no homework. I would recommend you take someone else if you are a polsc major or wish to gain from the course.

Talks a lot about current events during class, sometimes leaves little time for lecture. Only writes titles of sections on board. Writing notes is useless. Have to read book. Grade consist of 5 tests and one report

I wish Dr. D would give more time to discuss the lesson than talk about current events. And I wish that he will give study guides, so that the students will know what he expects from them. Dr. D is a nice professor, though.

He is a very good teacher. You must attend class because he notices and will call you out on it. There's two books required for this class. He only goes over one and the other you have to read on your own. He is available during office hours and tells you where your at and what you need to do to pass the class.

i believe this teacher is great.give you pleanty of time to earn points by participating in class. new analysis was great and not hard. Is pretty easy going and long as you give him the respect he deserves in class. be on time and attend. read your book and study .class was great!!!!!!!!!!1

Does one chapter every single week from the book. The first meeting he does like the first 2 pages, then somehow skips to the last 4 pages of the chapter on the second meeting. Gets off topic a LOT. Tells bad jokes during class that no one gets until he says "I joke..." Grades on nothing but 4 midterms, 1 assignment and 1 final. DO NOT TAKE!!!

In this class your grade depends on all the tests he gives you one assignment so if your like me and don`t do very well on tests don`t take him and if this was the only class that was open and you got it study the chapters for an hour or so and you`ll do fine. This is an important class so study.

I think he was very biased and too controlling of students. His lectures were boring and biased for serving one point of view. I stopped taking notes and he got upset, when and if I heard something good to write down I would have. Try another professor or even another school.

He is obviously very interested, or else he wouldn't have majored in political science. You can easily get an A if you attend, read the textbook thoroughly and do the only assignment. I thought he was a little dull the first time I took him but the second time around his teaching style was definitely better. Good teacher. :)

Good professor. Knows what he is talking about. Lecture can be boring at times but if you are interested in this subject then he is the Proffesor you want. Not much work, Just read your book like its the Bible and you will pass his class no problem.

The hardest multiple choice tests I have ever taken with a high C average. He does go off tangent a lot and his lectures do not help with the tests. The only thing I like is that he is funny.

His lectures are very boring and not clear. You have to basically learn the book by yourself because he doesnt go over it. He just gives out outlines. The test have nothing to do with his lectures.

He is one of the worst professors at LBCC his teachings do not relate to the test at all. He goes completely off tangent! I do not recommend hime to anyone.

Dr. Douglas is a great professor. The course outline lays out exactly what he expects from his students. If your interested in expanding your knowledge take him! If your hoping to slide through and get an easy A.. move on. This is college not preschool.

I thought that this class was very awesome. I like how he talks about his past and how he got to where he is at today. Honestly, i had no interest in politics before. But now, i do. I recommend his class. He is funny and very knowledgeable. He gives encouraging words to his students, which i like. Keep it up.

Dr. D is a teacher with a good sense of humor and is caring for students. He's exams are quite tricky and rather difficult but then I know he only does that because he wants us-his students-to be prepared in life. He shares stories that gives me reason to study harder. This class is a motivating class where the persevering really are goin to learn.

This professor is a good choice for POLI SCI. There is no confusion about what is expected of you. He follows the text book closely (which is very up-to-date). It's so obvious he loves teaching Poli Sci. and he cares about his students. He has a great sense of humor and makes you laugh. I highly recommend this professor.
