This man is so funny and fun to be around, but he goes through his lectures really fast and is so smart! His tests are ridiculously hard, and you often don't feel prepared for them

dr. baker is definitely a challenging teacher who is very engaged with his studies of physics (particularly in the study of black holes). he generally is there for his "learned colleagues and friends" but expects plenty of work outside the class for reading and working problems. put in the time out of class and as baker says "happiness prevails"

Dr. Baker is funny, but his teaching style is very laid back and... unconventional ...,which might discourage students who don't live and breathe physics. Lectures sometimes help, but other times you'll come out stunned with the deer-in-headlights glazed-over look. The material is extremely challenging, but his grading policy is equally generous.

The second worse teacher I had at Furman. Rude, arrogant, condescending, and unhelpful. Don't ask questions in class or expect to be ridiculed..by him. Unless you're a physics major in an upper level course, he couldn't care less if you're getting the material.

Awesome. Shear brilliance but with a taste for good humor to enlighten the deep lectures. Expect to work; expect a decent reward.

Hotness like you wouldn't believe. Chili pepper doesn't begin to describe him. Try Scotch Bonnet or Red Savina Habanero. The class is relatively easy - about 10 multiple choice quizzes (can drop 2) and a final. Memorize the formulas and earn a good grade.

If he is teaching for PHY12 TAKE HIM!!! He used all multiple choice quizes and a final for the grade...memorize the formulas for each quiz and you've got an A or A-.....great teacher but watch out for his black hole tangents

He is the most helpful and understanding professor I have ever had. All multiple choice tests help too. If you make a mistake, the answer you get won't be a choice, and you know to check for a mistake.

Teaches well, invites questions and then insults you for 20 minutes. He is cool. Maybe the smartest man I know.
